My little boy has been in the playgroup for quite some time already. He didn't have any problem with it from the very first day untill recently he starts to cry and refuse to go in the classroom. I'm wondering is he getting bored or should i let him stop going for a while?

maybe he isnt getting along well with the other kids anymore... i mean sometimes especially if theres kids there that are older than he is they may be being mean to him all of a sudden... if i were u next time i took him, i would stay for alittle while to check it out.

very commonreaction in a 19 mo old. The novelty of the playgroup has worn off. Just keep taking him, he will get over it soo enough

I'd say keep taking him.....question though: Is he crying because he doesn't want to go in or is he crying to stay with you. 18 months is the age they "typically" get extremely attached to the parents. This could be all it is. Not that that is an easy time. Either way, keep taking him - it's good for him, isn't hurting him and otherwise he learns if he cries he gets what he wants (either to be with you or to not go in the room). Which in my opinion is not what crying is for...crying is for if you're hurt.
