My friends daughter keeps getting out of her booster seat while she is driving by unbuckling her seat belt. I think that there is a product that she can put over the seat belt buckle to keep it from being accessed but i dont know what it is. Does anyone know? She is afraid her daughter may get hurt.

I have a 1yr old daughter who still wakes up 3 times at night and is up for the day at like 5am. We have tried everything like keeping her up later (bedtime is 7-8pm), feeding her right before bed, turnig music on for her to listen to, giving a bath right before bed etc. When she gets up she usually cries until we give her water. Ocassionally if she will not go back to sleep we give her a bottle of milk. She has no health concerns. Any suggestions?

im at the point no were i dont know what to do!! my last option is to smack him ( i know its wrong but that how im feeling, iv not hit him yet) you see the thing is if i talk to him he looks at me with this look and i know he aint listening i havr taken him for a hearing test and he past that with flying colours, if i tell him to get me a cup from the kitchen he will go into the kitchen and forget what i have just told him and will have to ask again what did i ask for, he always to be in a world of his own, his teachers have noticed this too and he has had two meetings with a health adviser they have said he has got a problem but as yet iv got to wait on the looooong waiting list to get some help for him! but how do i cope with it all???? im very low now and feel i cant cope no more???

OK i know that people out there are completely against disciplining there child but you ever go out and see those kids that completely run there parents basically its like they " wear the pants in the family". Well my child has this same attitude and i dont understand what it is that we're doing wrong. He's 2.5yrs old and he refuses to sit at resturants we tell him NO and he does it any way time outs in the corner are uneffective. Taking toys away worked for a while but now it doesn't phase him he just finds something else to occupy him i can't get him to sit w/ me to learn numbers colors and things like that. He's gonna have a new sibling in July and i honestly dont know if its my hormones going bonkers or if a really am that bad of a parent. My question is have u had any similar experiances w/ ur children and what did u do to correct it? If discipline was used what was it and how are they now? IS this honestly the "Terrible two's" and he'll grow out of it?
THANK YOU!

I have a 21 year old son who seems completely indifferent when I am around. He always runs to my mom, husband and aunt with happiness. But he constantly walks away from me, has no desire to play with me when I try, he never laughs or smiles with me. He doesn't want anything to do with me. My husband and I work full time and my aunt takes care of him during the day...which I understand is why he is so loving to her. But when I get home and it is just he and I he isn't interested in me. My husband is around even less, but my son just loves to be around him and wants to play with him. I don't know what to do, I am very depressed from lack of sleep, and feel very alone when my son pushs me away. Is this normal? I can't think of why. I am the one that disciplines him the most, could that be it? I am not harsh...just the typical "NO" once in a while when it is needed. I want my son to love me and want to be with me.

We have a 6 yr old daughter and now an 8mth old daughter. Lately I have felt my temper go from 0 to 10 in an instant! My doctor tried to give me some antidepressants, but I really don't ike to take pills. I give myself time-outs, but I feel really bad that I get so angry! I try to explain this to my 6 yr old, and I think she gets it, but I am afraid that she may copy me! So far she hasn't but I just feel very guilty about feeling so mad! Any suggesstions? My doctor has said no peanut butter until two years of age. We don't have any food allergies in the family, although my son does have eczema. But before my son was born, my pediatrician said the same thing for my daughter, who has no allergies or eczema. I've talked to other people who have heard different things from their doctors, so I guess what I'm looking for is a wide variety of answers and maybe a few sources for why there is such a wide range. When did you give your kids peanut butter? Do they have any allergies?

I have a 2.5 yr old who ive recently been trying to potty train. It is going really well but something thats worrying me is the amount of dirty nappies/diapers he has if he is not at home to be with no nappy on. It is now 3.35pm in the afternoon and already he has had 3 dirty nappies, this is becoming quite tiresome as it seems to be he always has a stinky bum! Is this normal?

I have tried introducing the potty but she flatly refuses to sit on it, I have tried to say about being grown up and wearing pretty knickers and I don't make an issue of it but she will be going to Nursery soon and I would like her out of nappies for that.

Please help she is my youngest, and wants nothing to do with the potty. I didn't have a problem training my other 3 children, but my youngest daughter is very against it. I would appreciate any ideas I get. I bought a gallon bucket of gum and told her that she can have some everytime she uses the toilet, but it's not working. She hardly ever gets candy so I thought it would work, but nope. I even had her actually walk around with underwear on all day and she went for me once, but everyother time I put her on the potty she just sat there and said all done. I don't want to sit her on the potty for too long because I don't want to make her hate it anymore than she already does. Please help.

My sister-in-law and brother are naturally thin. When I'm alone with their son, he starts making comments about my weight. I'm a little over weight, but I'm not extremely fat. I'm also not as thin as his parents. He's only 5 years old, so at first I laughed his comments off as a joke. But, now he's doing it every time I'm with him. I want him to know that he shouldn't be saying things about people. I'm afraid he thinks it's okay and he's going to say things to someone else who is over weight. During our last conversation, he said things like: "Your arms are so big. Why do you eat so much? You're cheeks are sooo puffy. Are you going to blow up into a hippo?" Humorous but humiliating. How do I respond to this? I know I could talk to his mother about this, but I want to address it when it's happening. What do I say to him?
