How long does it take to potty train a girl? Just curious.

She went potty by herself in her potty this morning without telling me. I was proud of her and I told her how proud I was.

I think she is getting the knack of things she again said potty before she went potty.

There is no particular time period. Train her on a regular schedule and be patient, she'll learn. Good luck!

Every child is different. There is no specific schedule that children follow when potty training.

Personal experience, we started introducing the potty to our 3yo when she was 15m and by 18m she was a pro. That's pretty young, but she was showing interest, was walking well, and liked to go when I went, so I started putting her on. She took to it very well and was excited!

On the other hand, some children take until around 2 or 3 to show interest and get the hang of it!! Wait for readiness in your own child. She'll probably show interest in what you're doing, want to go to the potty with you, ask questions, etc.

I believe the average time frame for most children to start is just around their 2nd birthday and be familiar enough with it by the time they're 3, but will usually need help wiping, at an public place, or someone elses house until they're between 4 and 6.

Good luck!

My neice started when she was 2 1/2. She was 3 to 3 1/2 when she was ready to go by herself without needing a parent to come with her.

Every child is different, if she is showing signs then start now. On average kids start at 21/2 and finish by 31/2.
