My son who is 14 months old has a habit of banging his head against the wall, hitting, biting, rocking himself, kicking, throwing things, screaming, etc. I brought this up to his dcotor but they just brushed it off as temper tantrums even though he does these things when he is not upset. i can't seem to accept this as just temper tantrums. Am I overreacting?

Juicy Juice gives my one year old diarrhea. It don't matter what flavor it is even 6oz makes him get the runs bad. Well ALL Apple juice gives him diarrhea, it doesnt matter what brand. But a can give him any other flavor juice from other brands and he's fine. He loves V8 splash and regular orange juice. I try to water the juicy juice down but then he won't drink it and he doesnt like water. I guess what I want to know is anyone else notice this at all? Is flavored water as good as regular(not carbonated)?

I live with my baby daddy's mom and dad and they think that its bad to take baths with my son. He is Only 18months.

I could see it being bad if One I was getting something out of taking a bath with my son. But I dont so I Dont thinks its bad at all.

My mom use to take baths with me and my brother. She stoped taking bath with us when we were like 2 1/2 to 3 years old.

I have told my boyfriends mom and dad that I dont think its bad because I dont get anything out of it and they still think it bad.

Does anyone know what I should say or do about this or should I not worry about what they think??

I'm having trouble with my five year old eating alot. I'm trying to tell her to eat better, and push healthy snacks. How can I explain to her about eating healthy without making her worry about her weight?

I try and keep her active too, she does dance and runs outside alot. Her Dad loves to bring home goodies, and doesn't think she should be limited cause she's a child, but I'm concerned. I've talked to her a few times, but it seems to come out wrong and then she starts saying things like "I can't eat that or I'll get fat." And, I really don't want her worrying about that especially so young, but she's not a little skinny minnie either.

He will eat gerber food up to stage 3, but he eats between 3 - 4 tubs or 2 jars of baby food per sitting. That's roughly 9 tubs of food a day, plus milk, juice, water and breast milk before bed and when he wakes at night night. He is getting expensive, but I can't seem to get him to eat grown up food at all. Anything I put on his tray he throws over the side. I even used one of those suction plates and he still threw that over. What should I do?

My 13 month old daughter refuses to walk without someone either holding her hand or using a walking harnass. She's too afraid to walk on her own, even though she knows how.

Any tips or suggestions to help her get over her anxiety of walking independently?

My son is almost 2. He has a very limited vocabulary and doesn't say much. He tells me when he wants to eat or drink (eat-eat, and juice) and thats pretty much it.

Today the babysitter told me that she's very frustrated b/c he wont talk to her. She says if she asks him something he just stares at her. (he used to shake his head yes or no). I dont know what i can do to make it easier for her. Any suggestions??

I was wondering how many hours out of the day you spend cleaning as a stay at home mom? (I consider doing laundry as cleaning).

When do you do your cleaning? Do you get it over with in the morning and just tidy up in the evening or do you clean your house all day?

Also, are you in charge of yard maintenence?

Going out to eat today, I noticed a father and his 5-6 year old daughter. The little girl was completely hyper, jumping up and down in place. She wasn't yelling or doing anything annoying. Just really, really worked up. I couldn't even remember the last time I had that much energy.

It seems like this is the natural state of affairs for kids between their brief hours of sleep. Why is this so? You'd think that all the growing that their bodies have to do would be a major drain of energy and would keep them tired.
