How many months old is she? My son is doing the same thing, but I just found out his molars are coming through. Are their any other symptoms? Just keep her comfortable. Did the doc check her throat? If not go back and have them check everthing their are alot of things going around. Good luck!

Typically how long does your daughter sleep. I am a mother of two and when they go through growth spirts they tend to sleep alot more, or if they are recovering from being sick. My daughter does also mess with her ears alot, and does not have an ear infection. Babies need alot of attention I don't know if thats what you mean by clingy, my daughter is like my little tail she is also 1 she follows me everywhere, I think its just her age. I think your daughter is fine and is just being a normal growing one year old baby.

Ear infections can develop almost instantly in some children. So he / she may not have had one 20 minutes ago, and now the ear is infected. If your child is in pain, take him / her to a instacare type facility or the ER. If it is an ear infection it feels like your eardrums are bursting from pressure. It really hurts!

Have her checked ASAP!
Sounds to me she has a fluid build up behind her eardrum and its causing her alot of pain.
Clinginess goes with that also. As far as sleep, sounds like she may be running a low grade fever and her body is just making her rest.

If you think its something serious, please by all means get another doctor. But if you think its something serious, you will more than likely have to be referred by your peditrician. If you cant find another one, PUSH yours until he/she does something. Good Luck
