Juicy Juice gives my one year old diarrhea. It don't matter what flavor it is even 6oz makes him get the runs bad. Well ALL Apple juice gives him diarrhea, it doesnt matter what brand. But a can give him any other flavor juice from other brands and he's fine. He loves V8 splash and regular orange juice. I try to water the juicy juice down but then he won't drink it and he doesnt like water. I guess what I want to know is anyone else notice this at all? Is flavored water as good as regular(not carbonated)?

My son couldn't drink certain juices when he was one either. I just bought the v-8 Fusion with vegetable and fruit juice and he loves it. He also loves water because his big brother had a sports water bottle and he wanted one too, so that is how I get him to drink water. But I always watered his juice down until recently (he is 2 1/2 now). If you get flavored water without sugar it should be fine.

I am not sure of this but, I think the base fruit in Juicy Juice is apple. This causes a lot of kids to be sensitive enough to get diarrhea. I had the best luck with white grape based juice, even then I made it about 1/2 juice and 1/2 water. But, you could try to do 1/4 water to 3/4 juice and see if he'll take it. You should probably check with the pediatrician about the water(it is high is potassium) But, I would think occasionally it wouldn't hurt.

My son is 22 months old and has the same problem but he has it with all juices especially juicy juice. I just use flavored water with splenda for him now since the juice gives him diarrhea. I would think the water would be better for him. Try that and see how it goes. Juice isn't the best for a toddler anyway. Its bad for there teeth. Try the flavored water and see how that goes. Good luck!

my son is almost 2 1/2 years old and juice used to give him problems until I switched him to allens low acid apple juice and even at that I almost always make it 2 oz water to 2 oz juice. Kids really don't need much juice at that age. Try giving him plain water, either from the tap or a brita if you have one.

Juicy Juice gives my friend's kids the runs also. It has no ill effects on my kids, though. Everyone is different:) Flavored water contains sugar that your one old shouldn't have alot of. I wish I had a good suggestion on what to give him. Ask his pediatrician.

Favored water is fine, my girls drink it, as I rarely ever give them juice. If I do it is once a day and watered down. It is recommended that children that age only have 6oz a day.
