Alec called his daughter "a rude, thoughtless little pig" in a voicemail message. I know that when I was a kid, my mother sometimes called me some pretty nasty names when she was angry with me, so was Alec's behavior out of the ordinary?

Last night I was giving my 2 lil ones a bath when my 3 1/2 yr. old told me she had a "BOYFRIEND". I told her that lil girls didn't have boyfriends.....She then told me her boyfriend was "V" who is the sitters god-son. I thought it was wierd so I started to ask her what she did with her boyfriend, I also asked her if her boyfriend touched her......she said "YES" I asked if he touched her in her private and she said "YES" and on her "BUBIES" I freaked out and called my mom and my mother-in-law, I also talked to the sitter and she asured me that the girls are never left alone or unatended, and I know the sitter loves my kids and my kids love her, and her family.....Should I jump to conclusions or should I talk to her more. I'm taking my baby to the Pediatrician so she can get checked today. I'm soooo worried, about her. I myself was molested by my sitters son, when I was about 6 yrs old.

I hate when people try to tell me how to raise my son. he's only 2 months old people tell me everything im doing wrong and everything i should do next. last week i was at my sister in law house ( i love her like a sis and i know she doesnt mean it) she like hes hungrey , as if im going let him strave or he needs to be change i think hes too warm or he doesnt want that or why are you doing that. first of all i know when hes hungrey its not like im going to let him starve.

I allow my children to watch T.V. after they eat dinner... around 7pm and they go to bed at 8:30. We watch approite shows for their age. The thing that angers me is when they play the horror comercials for movies. They frighten my children, and I am to the point where I want to call someone (don't know the number to FOX of hand) and tell them children do watch T.V in the evning too. I am tired of telling my children to cover their eyes every time a scary commercial comes on. Keep in mind my children are young, the oldest is 7.
I just want to know if anyone else has this problem. And what can we do about it, except for banning television from our kids. Any Ideas?

He told me it would make him happy if me and his sister moved and he got to live with his dad. This really hurt me I feel like a failure. I try my best I have been doing both roles as the father and mother its been hard. My husband has worked at a job where he is gone for 16 hours at a time and he isnt here at night. We have fought over some things that I have had issues with which almost caused us to split up. I lost my mom before I turned 4 and then adopted to a witch who beat me now I am living my own life to be happy and it seems I am sadder now than ever. I have no one to talk to no one to help me w/ my kids its just us I do everything w/ them. Go to the park, shopping,I feed ,bath, take them to school,in the summer I take my son to do boy stuff as he calls it like the truck pulls at the fair, play ball everything I can to be a good parent. I told myself that if I were ever to have kids I would be a good mother and not treat them the way I was treated for 14 years of chiild abuse.

As a child i had many dreams i could fly. My dreams were so real that i really believed i could fly. Plus may parents said "sure you can fly". Until i broke my leg jumping of the roof.

Also my parents pretended i had magical powers to role down the car window with my mind, when in reality it was them using the button.

Have your parents ever done this to you?

I have whatnots around the house i dont move them when he touches them because i want him to know that that is where they go and they are gonna stay there and he is gonna leave them alone. But when he messes with them I tell him no and move him away from them several times and redirect him to a safe zone with toys but he goes right back after them. Just by matter of opinion is he too young to be popped some people i know say he is but then again when i pop the inside palm of his and one time and tell him no he leaves them alone for the most part but some people say i shouldnt do that he is too young what do you think?

My stepdaughter's hygiene is not that great. Several mornings I've noticed her toothbrush is bone dry, and she does not wash her face in the morning before putting on makeup, or before going to bed. She only seems to wash her face when she showers every other day, if that.

What I don't get is that she is very much into fashion and her looks. She is very girly, has nice clothes and is pretty despite her acne. She has tons of friends, is getting ready for prom, etc. But it just drives us nuts that we spent $ on braces and now her teeth are yellowish and we spent $ on Proactiv, at her request, and she no longer washes her face!

My husband and I have had full custody of her for the last few years. Our relationship with her is great, but my husband and I don't know how to go about bringing up this touchy and embarrassing subject. I've hinted by telling our 3 year old how important hygiene is, and I say it when she's around. That hasn't changed anything...Any ideas?

The deal was if she returned to school and graduated she had a place to stay in our home. We found out that she not only smokes marijuana but she has also been selling it. I want her out of our house, what do you think? She won't answer any questions, she just states we should just leave her alone.

This was an answer I gave to a question earlier...asking where all the role models for our kids are? I got like 3 thumbs down?

" It starts with the parents.....They are supose to be the role models for their kids, not the people on tv or the latest sports hero....Granted kids need heros but many parents, not all, but a lot of them, are getting to the point where they are letting tv and video games raise their kids.....we have to be at the front lines, not the tv. And once a child is raised that way, they don't know anybetter, so that is how they will raise their kids....not good.....There are good role models out there, we as parents just have to get our kids focus on them."

Do people really think that the parents have nothing to do with it, and shouldn't be role models for their kids? Just curious.

I am 21 and I have 3 blood disorders, 1 was transfered from parent, 1 was developed and not sure where the other came from hehe, can't remember specific names off the top of my head.

I have decided that I do not want to have children, because I could never live with myself if 1 of these disorders were carried over to my child. I don't want them to ever have to go through the testing, medications, and hardships I have to endure each day/week just to stay healthy.

In most cases I would probably adopt or choose not to have children alltogether. Is this a major turn-off for women if I inform you of my attentions not to have children with you.

Our children are from my 1st marriage, and my youngest never knew anyone but my husband as his Dad. We were not going to have any more children, since my deadline was 35, anyway. Well after really talking it over, we think we would like to have a child composed of "our" genes. So, I will be 35 in July, and have talked to my doctor, but I would really like the insights and opinions of some readers. Do you think it would be crazy? By the way, my 7 year old son would be fine with it, but I have a feeling my 12 year old would be mad or embarrassed. Thanks everyone!

Parents say weeks and months in describing a child's age before the child is one, but why does it stop at 2. Couldn't it stop a 1-years old.

when the father in question is absent from her life except a few phone calls every week and a few visits every month. He does not contribute emotionally (except in damaging ways), financially or physically in the raising of his kids. He is an alcoholic who has had his unsupervised visitation rights taken away because of neglect issues. The girls have a wonderful stepdad that provides for them in all of the above mentioned areas and we feel that since he is the one that is with them and raising them that the decisions made in their upbringing belong to myself, him and the children, NOT their bio dad.

My oldest has been invited to a camp of sorts for gifted and talented grade schoolers, and bio dad is throwing a fit because we did not consult him before signing her up. Instead of congratulating his daughter on her achievement he chose to scream about not being consulted 2 days earlier when we received the invite. We usually don;t even know where is in order to consult him.
