ive got a babysitter lined up for when i go out but i dont know how much to pay her.

she is under 25 and basically when she comes round to babysit- my kids wont be awake, in fact they wont wake up whilst she is there so she will just be sitting and having an easy night.

im not sure how much to pay someone though. i will leave at 7pm and will be back for around 11pm, so its not that late.

she hasnt got experience so shes not qualified childminder or anything.,

can anyone who has a babysitter or who is a bbaysitter plz tell me how much going rate is.

Not every child responses to a time out or to have privileges taken away. My brother and I were to different kids. Our mother wanted us home from playing at a certain time we were late once and got grounded I never did it again. I would leave my brother and come home. He did it again got grounded and could not go play for a month. Still did it again. Got spanked the third time and was never late coming home. I think in certain situations and when a child is really young that spanking is a tool that parents can use.

I have a step-daughter, 12, and my daughter is 10, and my husband and I have a 5 yr. old daughter together. We've been married for 7 years. Last year, we bought the older girls prepaid cell phones under the condition they pay for the minutes. My daughter who live with us has paid hers by herself, but my husband has never made my step-daughter pay hers. He is tired of this, but won't say anything to her, I guess he is afraid to make her mad, I don't know. Anyway, his behavior is making things unfair to my 10 year old, because she has displayed her responsibility where my step-daughter has not. I don't know what or if I should say anything about this. My daughter is learning how to be responsible, but my step-daughter is not. I don't know what to do.

Just a couple of week's ago I rented a movie from Blockbuster. It was at night and after returning to my car I saw a father walk toward the store with his two young sons (look to be about 2 or 3 yo). They had to walk from parking lot to the space where cars are driving in and out in front of store. These children were energetic and were not holding the father's hands. One child walked behind the father. The father walked, looking straight ahead. Not once did he look back at the child behind him. The little boy was running to catch up and would not have noticed if a car should suddenly pop up in his view. I'm seeing this a lot lately with young parents. I debated (to myself) on whether I should enter the store and say something or should I just drive off and mind my own business. Well, I decided that I would risk getting "cussed out" and entered the store. I approaced the dad and asked him to please hold the boys' hands, etc. He said that no car was coming,it was ok. Next time?

We as adults are supposed to bring children up, not bring them down. If an adult does something wrong, we don't smack them. If an adult repeats a mistake we don't hit them. Why smack innocent children? And why do it repeatedly? And for all people who say it didn't hurt them as a child, it did hurt you because you are repeating a horrible cycle. As a kid you hated getting smacked. You didn't learn after the first smack. Learn to speak to your child. Be verbal, not physical.

Is there a limit to the number of kids in the back seat? My ex has 4 kids in the back. We share custody of one of the 9 year olds. Their ages are 9, 8, 7, and another 9 year old. He puts all 4 or more kids in the back seat at one time. Isn't there a law about how many kids can be in the back seat? Can I get him on child endanger ment? My 9 year old has told me that she has rode on the floor board before. I know that this is not safe for my daughter.

In the state of Texas you must work in order to keep your benefits. Or must be doing an active work search, and they do check to make sure that people are looking for jobs, even if one has a job if their not making enough money they have to be in college or checking in with texas work source everyweek. They do not just give away money to everyone and it can be quite hard to get welfare too.

My boyfriend's four year old son stays at my house every other weekend. He has been potty trained for over a year now but he pees the bed almost every time he stays here. We try to get him to use the bathroom before bed but he usually refuses and we also limit fluid intake during the evening, but no matter what he still pees. We also leave a few lights on and his room is right beside the bathroom. My boyfriend refuses to have him wear a pull up to bed. has anyone else had this problem? what did you do? any tips for me? I would like to get this resolved before the baby comes!

My baby is a boy, 2 and a half. My daughter is just 6 and has a learning disability.

Neither of us has filed for divorce. He thinks that my having the kids a week and then his having the kids a week is too much time with me. During his weeks, he has a baby sitter pick them up every night from daycare and cook dinner. He arrives home at 7 and promptly puts them to bed at 8.

I have a mommy track job that allows me to drop them off an hour later than he would and pick them up myself and spend at least three waking hours with them each night. On many weekends, he goes away and leaves the kids with his mother, who has beginning Alzheimers, and his father, who is being treated for cancer. Without telling me. Or he has about 8 people who baby sit for him. I recently learned that he has actually left them with one of the babysitters for a weekend while telling me that he and the kids were away together.

Go figure.

When he makes the time for them, he is good with the kids, so we

A close friend of mine has been hapily married for about 11 years. They could not have children because of some medical issues on his wife's side. He has accepted it gracefully. But his wife is devasted. She bursts into tears when she drives by children's playgrounds, elementary schools, etc. She does not want to adopt. She wants to a biological mother very badly.

Why do you think it is so important for women to have children of their own ?

It seems usually when kids say "I'm too old to be spanked" it is considered as an indication that we are not! To be sure, we don't LIKE to be spanked! I know that philosophically many now believe spanking is wrong; but are there OTHER reasons?
