I mean do we realize that our daughters pretend to be these dolls. I don't want my 5 year old wanting to me a girl wearing a sequin bikini that has to be taped on, wearing tons of makeup. Yuk?!?

and take them to the park?

This is a constant battle since I work from home. I'm in sales...the more I work the more I make and damn we need some money to pay some bills! But it's a beautiful day and my girls are cooped up in the babysitter's house and life is short and they grow up fast but you have to pay the mortgage the gas bill the car insurance...but here I am on Yahoo answers! Anyway, I am always debating this question. I need to focus on one thing or another but it's hard. I miss my girls but I have to work.

My baby-who is 12 and in the 6th grade in a jr high is just recently having issues with a girl. The girl talks mean to her, and just picks on her. My daughter is a very nice girl who likes to be friends with everyone and she just doesn't understand why this girl is so mean. My daughter is very pretty, but shy. She never has been in a so called "click"-just a few close friends. I talked to her last night and told her that lots of girls are just mean and jealous and try not to let it get to her. I remember being where she is now and I hated school for that reason. What else can I do to help her? Any suggestions?

We know several families that have adopted children from China, Latin America, and other third and second world countries. I think if we'd adopt from a place like that, the children would be better off then if they grow up in their homeland; maybe even returning to their mother country and helping out in the future.

Are oprhans here better off than orphans in other countries?

Thanks!

My two primary school daughters are going on dinners on monday. It has just cost me £16.50. Is it going to be worth £8.25 per child? Are dinners really better? I am obviously hoping so!

My daughter is only 6 and she is so bothered by what other kids say. Like today is dress like Dr. Suess day and she was cute I thought. But the other kids did not dress up and then when i went to school to see her, she had taken her dress up stuff off because kids were making fun of her. No one else dressed up. I said it is because are jealous, that is usually why others make fun of people. But she had her feelings hurt. Should i just let it go, or try to talk to her about it. I know she is young but self esteem is so important in girls later on that I want to let her know starting now that she is her own person. Is that crazy! Thanks. I just hate that kids are hurting her feelings. Thanks.

Now a days the parents do not impress upon their children to follow 'brahmacharya' till their marriage and father of a son are more careless about the character of his son. This is causing multiple problems in the society and middle aged citizens or father of a daughter is living in the enviornment of fear where as father of son feels pride in having his son irresponsible and characterless. Is chracterless-ness is pre-requisite for attaining the status of being MODERN. Who should stop this behaviour? Is their any need of such goondas, mawalis......

A lot of people seem to have this Anti-Daycare attitude. For my wife and I, we've found that Daycare provides structure, social outlets, and great support for our daughter. Our daughter is very well behaved, and happy. Meanwhile, our nephews have a stay at home mom. They're rambunctious, whiney, and disobedient. So, obviously keeping kids at home isn't always the best situation.

What do you guys think from your own experiences? Are kids in Daycare better adjusted than kids who stay at home with a parent?

but since having 3 boys seem to have gotten out of touch with myself. I'm totally out numbered! ha ha I always tell myself to make some time to curl your hair, wear a skirt or dress. I always skip the curls go for pony tail or barrette and stick with jeans and tennis shoes. I think if I could just stick to it I would feel better about myself. It's just so hard. Anyone else with the same experienc?

I know that most people will shrug it off as waaay to early for labels but this is heartbreaking. He dances like a girl doing the booty popping move (i don't even allow him to watch music videos so I guess he saw it done while at his father's house) and has a constant obsession with putting on my heels. I've taken away most of my daughters dolls and just put them up, (they both have educational toys anyway) because he plays with them more than she does. Everywhere I go he's stuck right under my leg and he cries and whines when he has to do things independently. (Just the other day for example he needed to use the restroom, we were in my mothers 1st grade classroom after school and his younger sister had to escort him to the bathroom and then he came back and begged me to take him because he was afraid... mind you this is in the class). I don't want to be paranoid but I don't want my child to be "like this".. Please help... what can I do?
