I agree -- it's a horrible idea to put in little girls' heads that THIS is what cool is. Have you seen the cartoon? It's even worse. I see little girls in 2nd grade already starting to "dress the part" and they REALLY think they look great dressing as 18 year olds would. It's so sad...they can't even play at recess because they're wearing the 2-inch peep-toe wedges or the jeans that are a little too long with the tall shoes with the big clonky heels. They're missing out on the real fun of being a little girl! Our school actually just created a new policy for next year that girls are not allowed to wear make-up to school in elementary. I can't believe that has to be a policy, but it does.

I completely agree, in spite of the reality that i'm a youthful technology I observed this flow initiate shaping the stay of to many youthful females. They went from superb clothing to being brought about what the Bratz dolls positioned on.

My mom got one for my 9 year old sister a about a year ago, she didn't realize what they were wearing and stuff. we showed my mom the clothes the dolls wear, and how all the stupid movies just show them hanging around guys and acting like sluts. My mom got rid of them just in the nick of time, my sister was starting to become very interested in showing off her belly...

i absolutely hate those things, most teen girls are already dressing like skanks, why would we want to encourage it any earlier?
i would never let my child have ano of these dolls or watch the show. Bratz dolls make the girls think it's cool to be just that, a brat!!!

Great point....
So many parents aren't careful with the messages they send their children with the things they buy or let them play with.
You have to monitor EVERYTHING your child is involved in, whether it's play time, the movies they see, the children's show's they watch etc....
People think because it's a cartoon it must be for children!!
WRONG!! Look for the message in everything your children do.

I completely agree with you!!! I will never allow my daughter to play with those dolls, it's sad and it makes me angry that parents think they are appropriate toys for little girls. Why do they want to perpetuate such negativity and blatant materialism in their children? I do not understand it.

This whole world have become so commercial. Why buy them....this too will pass. It is just teaching them how to dress inappropriately and that you can get anything you want out of life.
