This is a constant battle since I work from home. I'm in sales...the more I work the more I make and damn we need some money to pay some bills! But it's a beautiful day and my girls are cooped up in the babysitter's house and life is short and they grow up fast but you have to pay the mortgage the gas bill the car insurance...but here I am on Yahoo answers! Anyway, I am always debating this question. I need to focus on one thing or another but it's hard. I miss my girls but I have to work.

When they're grown, your girls aren't going to say, "We had to get the store brand peanut butter because we didn't have much money."
They ARE going to say,
"Sometimes Mom would pick a random pretty day and pick us up from school and take us to the park. It was so fun...some of my best memories. . ."

There is nothing wrong with playing hookey every once in awhile. Besides, your girls are only young this once. Go make lunch, pick up your girls, and have a picnic. Doing it just this once, probably wont hurt your wallet too much... :) Just work some over time some other time to make up for it. Have a good day

Take your kids out to the park for a couple of hours it would not hurt, i take my daughter when she wants out or take them shopping it is only a few hours of your day..kids are way to important to have cooped up in a house witha babysitter.
I have bills and Car payment too and i work and i always find the time to spend with my kids... i am a nurse...

Take them to the park!! There will tons of time to earn money and the bills will always be there....your girls are only young once and you should make the most of it!

If you're actually going to work, then do so. You have a responsiblity toward those girls to make sure they have everything they need. However, if you're going to screw around on yahoo answers all day, then you may as well pick them up and go to the park.

Go pick up your girls! One day isn't gonna kill you! Family time is just as important! Work harder tomorrow! Before you know it they probably won't be looking forward to hanging out with mommy or daddy, they're gonna want their friends! Enjoy them while you can...don't work your life away!
