Most parents can tell after a few weeks.

My friends are twins, their mom put different braclets on them, and painted one nail a different color on each. One of them has a birth mark on the upper thigh, so in a pinch they could remove the diaper and know who's who.

It takes a while but you'll get be able to tell by their personalities. If you put a bracelet or ankle bracelet on them so you don't have to take it off in the bath or changing that should make it easier.
I have twin identical aunties that although live in both ends of the world from each other, they always seem to have the same clothes and wear them at the same time!! I can tell the difference from the shape pf their face, one has a squarer face than the other, but I've heard them arguing over photos of who's who before so sometimes even they can't tell the difference either!

My partner is one of an identical twin and his mother said that she could only tell them apart by their ear lobes when they were babies. My partner had tops with his initial on and so did his brother so other people could tell them apart.

People still have trouble working them out, I can understand why, they have allot of differences but then again I've been with my b/f for 6 years! I did when I was drunk and first with my b/f nearly slap his brother butt because I mistook him for my b/f!!! Only happened the once though.

As a parent of twin girls I had a fear I wouldn't be able to tell them apart but I soon began to notice subtle differences like the shape of ther face or how their eyes looked. I also left their hospital bracelets on for a few days after they came home from the hospital.

I am a mom of twin girls, though they are not identical. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to tell them apart, and they did look very similar as newborns, but very soon I knew who was who. They very soon grew to look nothing a like. But I have heard that when you can't tell you can always paint one of their toe nails or dress them in certain colors.

I'm not a parent of identical twins, but I have identical twin piano students. It took me awhile, but after awhile you start to notice subtle differences in their looks.

Don't have em. But my friend had 2 girls. She painted their toe nails different colors to tell them apart.

The pink nails were Mackenzie.
The purple nails were Mickayla.

If wearing shoes? Pink clothes for Mackenzie and purple clothes for Mickayla.

If you observe them there should be something peculiar to each one like a mole, birthmark, hair, height, body built, shape and color of eyes, etc. Then you know who it is.
