We know several families that have adopted children from China, Latin America, and other third and second world countries. I think if we'd adopt from a place like that, the children would be better off then if they grow up in their homeland; maybe even returning to their mother country and helping out in the future.

Are oprhans here better off than orphans in other countries?

Thanks!

Oprhans here are better off with and without because the goverment take cares of them in some countries after a certain age they just push you out on the street or they don't have no help. Also it depends how fast you want your baby and how much money here in the states it starts off at about 20,000 dollars and can take up to 4 years the waiting list is real long in other countries the most and longest i heard of is 2 years
Good luck

Check with your local state agency.

There are so many wonderful children right here in the US that need homes. The best thing is that most of the times they offer incentives. Medical care, subsidies etc.

Texas will even pay for their college education if they chose to go to a TX college.

Don't spend the money on an out of country adoption when you can help the children here. Those out of country adoptions are primarily a scam. Most of the money goes to the local government, they are essentially selling babies. Most of those countries have high fraud rates etc.

What is wrong with you all? Orphans are orphans and how is one "better off" than another? Every child deserves a loving family no matter where they are from. You need to find a child that you can connect and bond with wether they are Latin, African, or...Martian. If your considering adoption it should be for the love of children, not for the race.

I have done a lot of research on this matter and adopting from another country is much easier. If you adopt from lets say China the adoption is finalized in China whereas if you adopt in the US the birth mother has the right to change her mind and take the baby back. Also Chinese babies tend to be healthier then American babies b/c Chinese women take good care of themselves. Most of the babies available are females...due to China's one child law...I found all this out by googling "adopt from China"......hope this helps

Adopting is a great way to help out kids!

First check out your phonebook and see if there are any local adoption agencys. Go talk to them and see if they have any tips about adopting children. Also, go see the counsulate of the country you are wanting to adopt from. Some countries are prohibiting adoptions in order to keep their population, so check and see if you can adopt them.

Good luck- thanks for helping our world
