20 month old baby heart rate is about 100-120 beats pr minute... yes, babys heart rate always faster than adults... since babys heart does not have the same contracting power as the adult heart they have to maintain a higher rate to achieve a certain blood pressure, as the baby matures , the heart gets stronger, contraction more powerful so heart beat decreases as baby gets older...

Yes physiologically all kids hearts beat faster than adults.Newly born baby's heart rate is around 120/minute when quite and may reach more than 250/minute when crying.By the age of 1-24 months it becomes around 11o per minute. By 2-5 year it is around 100 per minute.by the age of 6-12years it is around 80 per minute

Yes it is normal. Their metabolism is higher and as they get older it will come down. Also since their bodies are smaller it will pump faster as well. Here is a site with rates on it.. good luck.
