Being a parent isn't just about giving up your free time, it's also about giving up things you love to do. Right? So are they really worth it? I know a lot of people who are a lot less happy because of all the stress they've got upon their shoulders, but when i ask if they regret having children, they always say "never." Why?

There is a song that is played in the Disney movie Dumbo. Where Dumbo was a baby and his mom was holding him. It goes something along the lines of "baby, baby" and then I black out as to what the rest of the words are, if someone could help me figure out what the name of this song is and who sings it I would appreciate it a lot. Thanks

When my son was 20 months, we were talking a bath together. We had the lights off, because we were using those glow sticks that kids love so much. My ultra-hairy husband apparently hadn't cleaned the drain after he got out, so there was a hair clog floating in the water. My son picked it up and said "What's this??" I tried to explain it, but he interupted me and said really slowly, in a high pitched voice - "I think.......... it's a piece................ of your 'gina."

Cutest kid in the world!!!

I work as a nanny to a little boy and today he and I went out. Now befrore I get ahead of myself I am posting this in the parenting because I wanted to know how YOU would react.Today I took him to some activities and after them we were on our way home on the bus. I am not very familiar with the busses but I know enough to get around.so I thought. The bus number changed after we got on it which I had no indication of until much later on the trip. His father called to see if we were on our way home and I told him yes, because we were. I didn't realise that the number had changed as I said before and so we ended up on the wrong one and went about 15 minutes by car out of the way.Big deal right? Not so to his mother. She was very upset with me when we got home even though I let them know the situation and felt terrible about it, she made me feel very low because of how she reacted. She just had a baby a week ago. do you think it was hormones?Or did she have a right to be mad? what can i do

Example.... Won't eat dinner (tea) so remove it.....refuse to let her have anything else until morning.....Is this harsh punishment or a good way of training her to eat at the correct times?

My toddler is 20 months old. We have always tried to get him to brush his teeth, but we are having real problems as he simply doesn't want to. We brush our teeth with him next to us to try and get him to follow our example, but that has no effect. We've tried a normal toothbrush, "flashing" toothbrush and now an electric toothbrush, but each time the novelty wears off after a couple of days and he won't brush. He won't let us brush his teeth as he just screams and wriggles out of the way, and when we spoke to the dentist about it she said that we shouldn't force him to brush his teeth at this age so as not to put him off, but to let him brush his own teeth. The problem is, we can't get him to brush his own teeth!

Any tips please?

I have to do a debate for my english class and I really need some good pros for daycare. I would prefer sources or personal stories but if you don't have those that fine too!

Many young children who excel in a sport or art spend all of their free time focusing on that aptitude...is this healthy?
If it is healthy, at what age?

I'm a single father who is completely infatuated with my daughter’s best friend. Two months ago I stole her best friend's hot pink thong that I dug out of her over night case.

1) Should I give it back and if so, how?
2) Is it disrespectful If I asked her out on a private date without my daughter knowing?

Can I loose my daughters respect/friendship over this?

How much are you paying for your child's day care in OC, CA? Please provide the age of your child and the name of the institution you are using? My wife wants to go back to work and we have to find a good day care that will not cost us more than $1000 per month.

My son is 9 yrs old and a little overweight so he has a lot of nasty remarks in the playground. He is in the middle of having a really bad time with name calling,I have spoken to the teachers but it is still going on. Should I tell him to thump (but he is so not like that) or name call back.I don't know but it is heartbreaking to hear him cry of a night time when he goes to sleep.

Parents are so oblivious to their own children, that sometimes they don't even realize that what their kid(s) are getting themselves into can mean a life long addiction: to drugs, not getting attention so they do bad.
Tell me if you think this is wrong or not, I certainly think so...

1. ok I’m pagan my husbands is Christina, where talking about having children I’m worried about the teasing and reticule and judgmental behavior my child will go though for having a pagan parent in a VARY chrisgin area. I know that I wnet thought a lot in school. I didn’t say god when we said the plage and I didn’t pray with the other children. Even though I went to a puplic school it was still in a back water little town that still dose that type of stuff. So religion is a vary sisnitive spot for me. How do I explain to my children to not hate others for what they have dose to our people in the past and still not force my religion on to my child?

She's 10 and is as sweet as pie about 60% of the time, but the other 30% she goes crazy, swearing, storming out of shops, marching off down the street! Is it nerves, hormones or what, I'm at a loss what to do with her, help needed, before I kick her out of the house?
