My boyfriend has a a couple of female friends most of which he has grown up with, one in particular is his "play sister" and he asked if I was going to let her come to the hospital and see the baby. I hadn't said anything to him yet but I haven't even met her and at first didn't even feel comfortable about the relationship he has with her b/c he said they had tried to be more than just friends at one point and time but didn't want to ruin the friendship that they have. She has a kid already and one on the way but my question is would you feel comfortable with that and why or why not? What would you do? My thing is I haven't met her or even talked to her but yet she's supposed to be his "sister". I am going to induce on Tuesday and I just don't really know how I feel about that yet.

Today I heard parents give their kids idle threats. It got me thinking that one day, my daughter will be at that age that I'll be frustrated enough to 'threaten' my kid. I remember my own parents doing this! Examples:

"if you don't behave, I'll chop you up and cook you in a big pot!"
"stop it kids or I'll kick you out of the car and drive off!"
"fine, be that way, I'm going and leaving you!"

We all joke about it as adults but I really remember how scared and hurt I was when I was young. You believe everything you hear, especially from god-like grownups called mom and dad. I don't want to do that to my kid but I can see myself doing it if when she throws her first tantrum.

Any advice of avoiding giving an idle threat out of pure frustration?

I know that people don't have to spend time with their grandchildren, but when it's the first birthday and the child finally got discharged from the Hospital, and they are not coming? They are very local and live only 20 mins away. They don't care about our children and think that material things make love. It's not the real grandmother, so it's my husband's step mom. I wrote an email to my sister in law and it's been two weeks and no reply or call. They get into petty fights with my husband for no reason. This is coming from a father who put his son's name on a business and his son is now paying his father's back taxes. This grandfather lied about having cancer. He has a 12 yr old living in another state who misses him and he rather pay child support, because his wife would probably leave him if the girl came to live. Also, his dad was a suspect in his mom's murder. Is this serious enough for them not to see the children anymore? They are snobs Please help!

My friend is having a baby, and wants me to be the godmother. I am so excited to be the godmother. She also wanted me to be the one to get custody of the baby if anything was to happen to her. What exactly do we need to get that done? I know a godmother isn't a legal position, but how can we make that possibly that I would get custody?

My 5 year old sister is driving the whole house crazy. She can't stand playing dolls by herself, or going to the bathroom without someone standing outside the door. Can you give me tips on how to solve this?

I don't have kids yet, but I asked my friend a question if kids made her life happier. You see, it freaks me out when I hear children screeming in shops or see them misbehave terribly. :) She says that children or no children - you can still have a happy life. What is your opinion?

My son Miles is starting to drive me crazy! Whenever I tell him to go do something he'll just back talk and start more frustration. Taking away priveliges, spanking etc. isn't helping. He back talks dad too, and we're on the same page with disciplining. My husband is an ex-marine and tollerates no such behavior, but Miles doesn't seem to mind the punishments. He'll just walk away from you, if you grab hold of him, he'll wiggle away or hit to get away... he's our only child thusfar and its making me not want any more! Stressed out mom here, please help

If you are at someones home for a large gathering like say a birthday party with a buch of kids and toddlers around and a kid runs or walks past you with the unmistakable odor of loaded britches, do you say something funny or in a joking manner or just keep quiet and let someone else figure it out?

I have an 8 year old daughter. I'm always telling her the importance of not talking to strangers and what to do if someone tried to get her into their car, etc.. She is very friendly and outgoing and I'm not too sure how serious she takes me.

She plays outside in the back of our complex often - I can always see her.

I wanted to have someone I know but she doesn't know to start a conversation with her and see if they could persuade her to get into their car. Is this horrible?? I'm really curious to see what she would do. There are so many abductions of kids, it just makes me so nervous.

I'm really trying to be a good parent - so I hope this question doesn't offend anyone or anything.

Thank you!

Ok,this is mostly for parents of teens.
When your child asks you for money or something do you just give it to them?
And just flat out what is the MOST appropriate age for someone to get a cell phone?
I'm 16,but I'm just wondering what parents opinions are.

It has been going on since 1750 before William Logan done the geological survey of Canada.
It was meant to be that he named that mountian after the person who died by freezing to eeath in Yellowknife, Canada

All 257 years of battling was done against Northern Cyprus and all the people who are control freaks, by a man from the spirit realms.
The great plan was layed.

Those are the ones that say "A bit of exersise will do you good", "It never done me any harm", "That'al teach ya", and premote and glorify all the things that are old fashioned.
They come from Turkey.

It was all about synchronisity and co-incidence, that which gives a deeper meaning to things that was to lead to his suicide to stop other suffering from the abuse.

The mountian in Canada's highest peak and there are other mountains, Wolf Mountian (Alaska), Wolverine Mountian, Wolf lake and so on; another co-incidence with the cartoon charactor Wolverine.
Also a spiritual relation with wolves.

Are you glad?

I have an 8 yr old daughter, who every time I tell her something, she starts arguing and when I tell her she is going to go to time out or get a spanking, she starts saying that I hate her, etc. Sometimes it gets to the point that I feel she thinks she is the adult. I have tried everything.

I do daycare and she is driving me nuts and tattling on all of the kids over the littlest things...things that arent bad but annoy her. I am afraid kids wont like her at school or here even for being a "tattle tale". Who do I teach her to stop, of course I want her to tell me if someone is doing something that could hurt someone and serious things like that, but if I dont see a kid snatch something from somebody, I dont want to know becuase when I try and resolve the issue..all the kids say they had it first!.
