My nephew conceived a son during casual sex. The baby is now over a year old and all is not well in the parent's relationship. They are living together but as everyone knows, casual sex is a poor way to choose a life partner. The mother has threatened that if my nephew doesn't do what she wants him to on a daily basis, she will take the baby back to her home state (several hundred miles away) and her very dysfunctional family. What legal options does he have? He now lives near his extended family, all of whom are very supportive and involved with the baby. His name is on the birth certificate and he was present at the delivery. He ADORES his son and is distraught at the idea of losing him. Dad is amazingly tender and loving with his son and he is terrified that she will take off out of state with the baby. What legal options does he have? How likely would it be for him to get custody and how would he go about it?

My husband has a handgun that is totally legal, he has a firearm card and the gun is registered. We keep it locked in a small safe in the closet, in our bedroom. If we arent home the bedroom is locked. Should I tell the other parents about it??

couple of very interesting questions posted here, but i notice a lot of commenst say its ok for mothers and daughters but not mothers and sons.... to me boys are as innocent as girls, and my two kids see me naked, i dont parade round but just like the others they come in when i shower or am on the loo, and they always run round naked, my eldest is sometimes more shy these days and bans his brother from the bathroom but the next day he wants to bath with him. I dont want them growing up with hangups about bodies, as they are natural. having said that my sons are 8 and 10, and im suprised they are still so open and unabashed, but as this has always been normal in our house, i just leave them to decide.so why is this unwritten rule different for boys?

does anyone else think that parents who let their kids wheel round shops and busy streets are irresponsible!
the other day i was in a shop and a girl wheeled herself my way and tripped.. she missed my 8 week old baby in a pram by inches.. !!
what sort of parent thinks it is ok for there kids to trip and fall on babies and old people or whoever is shopping!! jeez!
fair enough on quiet roads or in the park.. but teach them responsibility!!
yeah i am annoyed.. but wouldnt u be if ur baby had been put in danger...

I see on here and when i went to college some many kids who did not even know how to do laundry. There parents still came in their room got their clothes washed and folded it for them They never had to wash a dish or clean up after themselves and then they get to college and are complete pigs. I have been washing my own clothes since the six grade and if did not wash i had dirty clothes. even if you don't have a washer in your home you should make them go with you so they know how. What do your kids do

People say it would be nice for me to. But I don't see why. I am a White Seperatist, and I like weapons, although you won't believe me, I would never shoot at a person, just at targets. I get angry and I have blackouts when I do things, and I regret things I do after. I don't like little kids and have no patience with them. Plus, it would be wrong to have a kid in the present time, because believe we are at the end of the world. I hate romance or anything to do with it, so I don't even think I could ever get a woman.

Some of the replies really shocked me and they applied that this women was wrong & should "be careful" because it could be misinterpretated at school? !!!
That's crazy !!!!! ?

Did your son growing up ever ask any questions about it? What did you tell them? Was he ok with it? I'm just asking out of curiousity because I have a 6mo old son that's circumcised and I always wonder if he will grow up asking me anything about it. I asked my fiance who is too and he doesn't remember ever questioning it.....I'm NOT looking for any opinions about it because I know how some are on this site. So please pay attention to the question.....Thanks

I have a 15 year old son (16 on April 3), he dirties ALOT of laundry, some of it I think was clean and he just lets it lay on the floor. It really ticks me off and I do like to have him contribute to helping keep the laundry done as I work full time also. There is a humungous pile of his clothes in the garage on the floor in front of the washer and dryer, I did two loads for him from there but I think HE should have to wash his own stuff if he is going to let it pile it up like that. My ex (his dad) commented that its unfair for me to make my son do his own clothes because I don't make my live in fiance do his. My fiance is my man, almost my husband and he works 12 hours a day in the sun with steel and concrete, my son is a child who goes to school and lays around on his butt, my son also needs to learn to take care of himself, my man even does help fold laundry if I ask. Don't you think my ex is out of line to say that my son should have the same rights as the man of our house?

Her father is black and cuban, I got the Maria part from his cuban heritage and the Cheyenne part from the native american side. Does this name sound okay for a mixed race child who society will probably view as black? Me and her father look exclusively black, and assuming the child will too, will the name fit?

I am 27, my daughter is just gone four. When I shower I do so with the door open, and she regulary will come and chat to me when I dress or wash. My friend recently suggested that this inappropriate, as my daughter starts school in september, and I shouldn't let her see me naked. It never even occurred to me to cover myself up in front of her, my body made and gave birth to her, and bears the scars, my daughter knows that the marks on my stomach were caused by her growing in my tummy etc etc. I just don't want to do the wrong thing, but I just guess I always thought the day she goes 'ugh cover it up mum' would be the day I do, what did you do? Any advice?
By the way me and her father are seperated and she never see's him naked.
