Did your son growing up ever ask any questions about it? What did you tell them? Was he ok with it? I'm just asking out of curiousity because I have a 6mo old son that's circumcised and I always wonder if he will grow up asking me anything about it. I asked my fiance who is too and he doesn't remember ever questioning it.....I'm NOT looking for any opinions about it because I know how some are on this site. So please pay attention to the question.....Thanks

Thanks to all the answers so far! This was more of a curiousity question, it's not something I'm worried about. And I am prepared to talk with him about it if he ever does ask. I agree with most of you, if it's all he knows why would he ask!

I can't remember a single time in which my two sons circumcision was ever a topic of interest.
We had told them all about the facts of life and how some people don't circumcise long before they were involved in p.e. and athletics, so they knew that some men and boys would look different because of the foreskins that had been removed versus those who still retained them intact.
we tried to teach our sons that it wasn't polite to "look" and see what someone else had or hadn't done to their penis.
if it isn't a big deal to you, chances are it won't become a big deal to your son. and if the man in his life looks the same as he does, then it won't be an issue.
hope that helps.

More and more grown men are going to be asking questions like "what gave you the right to decide that for me?"
Boys will learn from the internet that they have been robbed of 70% of the sensual nerves that their penises came equiped with, and that the nerves that are left are mostly pain receptors and are not very good at feeling pleasure.
Many will find that by the time they are 40 to 50 years old their circumcised glans is about as sensitive to pleasure as the tip of their elbows is.
Some day you may hear your 56 year old son ask you "what the hell made you think you had the right to do that to me?"
Supprised the hell out of my mom.

Whether the question even arises will differ for all of us.
My little brother was curious after he had a visit from his cousin who was the same age as he was and was circumcised.
I explained about how some boys had the skin removed and that if he wanted, he could probably have that too. He seemed satisfied at that point, with the information but but he surprised me by saying that he thought his cousin's penis looked 'neat'.
The difficult thing for him was that he started having some infections later and had to be circumcised then. He was not a happy camper at the time. Later he was fine with it and told me that he wished our Mom had had him done at birth.

some adult males are circumcised using fact of religious ideals. Others experience that it fairly is extra hygienic. there has been some scientific analyze which has shown that circumcised adult males have a decrease threat of STDs, specifically HIV, and penile maximum cancers. the two Jews and Muslims practice male circumcission as that's commanded by employing the two Jehovah and Allah interior the Bible and Koran. yet, there are stable scientific reasons for this surgical treatment, because it may cut back the prospect of transmitting a virulent disease that reasons uterine maximum cancers in women, keeps the penis cleanser, and additionally reduces the prospect of an infection in adult males. to respond to your question in a extra direct way; the reason that maximum folk of yankee adult males are circumcised is using fact it has grow to be the standard "norm" interior the yank way of life. it variety of feels to be that being "sparkling decrease" is a prefered look, and you know that interior the U.S. aethetics (visually appealing) is extra substantial than the type you experience. i do no longer criticize human beings preferring that each and one and all adult males be circumcised, for i think we live a society the place definitely everyone seems to be entitled to their ideals. What i think is erroneous and unacceptable is that human beings push their ideals on others and attempt to belittle people who think of and experience in any different case. There are nevertheless a number of of uncircumcised adult males interior the U.S., they're only no longer advertising it. human beings ought to declare that the justifications for circumcision is faith or wellbeing reasons, yet 80 5% to ninety% of circumcisions carried out interior the U.S. are only performed using fact it fairly is seen a classic practice and because it fairly is assumed to be extra aesthetically suited......the different reasons used are just to justify the action of slicing off only a splash a guy's penis. My son is only 5, but he had to have his circ re-done at age 2 and he remembers this well.. so he even knows to check his every now and then to make sure that the skin is ok. So to have him ask about his doesn't seem to bother him or me. I think that since it is done at such a young age that they really do not think anything different about it. My husband was born in Brasil and when they came to the states he got his circ'd and he was age 5 at the time. But he said that all he remembers about it was it hurt some and itched some as it was healing. But he did not remember asking his Mom about why it happened or anything.

My son was circumcised because my husband wanted him to be, since my husband is circumcised.
I didn't care either way...I left the decision to my husband.
I personally don't care if people have their son circumcised or not...it's not a barbaric procedure and may have some health benefits, but that's one of those things where it's not right or wrong.

my oldest out of 3 sons is 31/2 and no hes hasn't. But he hasnt been around anyone that isnt done, so thats probably why. i mean hes young but very very observant. My 19 year old brothers friend got his done at 17 and said jokinly that he wanted to slap his mamma for having to go through that and it could have been done as a baby. So he thought it should be that way.

He may never question it because kids tend to figure that it is normal when they see other boys in the locker room look the same as them. Had he not been circumcised he might have more questions later on when the others did not look like his...

I agree that if its all he knows he probably won't ask, but in case he does there's no harm in telling him why. I doubt he'll feel out of place because of it. Whether you did it for religious reasons, or because you knew it would help keep him cleaner, I'm sure he won't have a problem with any answers you give him.

No questions and my son is 9. I really don't think he knows any different, everyone I know or he would see in the nude has been circumcised.
