How is child support calculated?

I just want to know if his income is based on gross or net income.

It's calculated on gross income and he pays the taxes on it so you don't have to.

In other words if his child support is 17% and he makes $1000 in a week you will get $170 and the taxes on the whole amount gets taken out of what he has left.

Support is off what the support ordered parent is making, not what they bring home. I know it is silly...just like they take away the drivers license when it is not paid. I feel that is silly since you need to drive most times to get to work. OH ..

But it also is determined on which state you live in. Here in NY it is 17% for the first child of the GROSS income.

depends on how honest dad is in court, and what papers he brings. mine told the judge he didn;t make much thats of course after they found him put him in jail after not paying for 15 years. son now 25 and i get 150 a month tell he pays 22,000 off lol oh welll. my son great that what counts
