Mine do and they are already bored. So I think I will go to the mall tommorrow. My youngest wants to go see Ord from Dragon tales and the older kids want to spend their allowance.
Then I will take a trip to the museum and the library. What else is fun that doesnt cost much money?

Okay, I'm fourteen and I want to model more than anything in the world for the past 6 months and i recently brought it up with my parents. They said I couldn't do it, but I figure if I combine my six months of research and advice from people who answer, they'll change their minds. It's not like I want to do it for the rest of my life, maybe for a few years, just to gain experience and explore my options a little.

Why do kids like to hide? What is the reason for this? How come they like being in enclosed spaces like dens or treehouses or kid's tents??

I am curious to know at what age children should start tidying up by themselves and how parents can encourage them to do so.
Is there a set age which is recommended? Are there any informative websites anyone can recommend?

My 12 year old daughter has been grounded since Jan 2. She did something she knows is wrong so we grounded her to her room for one week. The only fun thing she could do was play with her toys. Things seemed to be going good, she was behaving like she should and all then on day 6 she did the same thing that she did that got her grounded in the first place. So we re-grounded her. We have tried everything. Letting her do what ever she wanted as long as she fallowed a few guide lines, like take showers go to bed by 12am do her home work. That lasted a week then we had to put a stop to it cause she stunk worse then a whole football team after playing. We tried taking everything away she was allowed to go to school do her homework and read (which she hates to do) that was it and she had to go to bed early every night too, that didn't work. What can we do to get her to stop doing the things that get her grounded before her grounding is over? I'm out of options. She seems to like it a lot. Why

When I mean young mothers I mean I am 20 with two kids... 19mth and 3mth.
Do any of you have any regrets with the social life you never had?
I got pregnant in high school and graduated at 9mths preg.
All the friends I had ether left to other states or stopped talking to me. I always think that if I did things differently would I be happy? Happier? Unhappy???
I love my kids, I am happy, but sometimes I wonder what it would have been like if I didn't have kids. I never lived an adult life without kids. I just want to know what people think of this??

I'm educated and highly financially successful earning about 100k per year and I think I may be pregnant but Im not married. I am questioning whether there is still a stigma to being pregnant without marriage in society even when you ARE successful. I have a supportive boyfriend, but we are not married.. we are both around 30 and he is also professional. What are your thoughts?

The reason I ask is because I came from a poor background where my mother had me when she was 16 and my sister had her first child at 17. I went to school and did what my family encouraged me to do, but it seems that just getting pregnant at all has a stigma if you are not married..

Quick opinions,
My boyfriend just called his 13 yr.old daughter. when he got off the phone he was upset.. she informed him she was going over to a friends ( a boy) to spend the night... Her mom is allowing this...
I will tell you a little about his daughter .. 13, a little on the heavy side but very pretty, she is fun but not into anything bad.. she knows stuff but not first hand. She is on the honor roll at school most the time.. she is into books and music. I am basically saying she is a good kid but We are also wondering if this is a good situation to allow her to go spend the night at a boys house.. even if the parents are home ???

Im paranoid about cot death even now she was 3 two months ago.
The whole overheating thing worries me. The thing is, she has aching legs and the only thing that soothes them is a rather warm hot bottle.
It's safe, can't leak, and the water isn't THAT hot anyway. Is this safe?

well i just met my father like in december for the first time .He was away for along time and he got married and had three other kids and when i found that out i was really really hurt. okay so it was good for the first month and he called almost everyday and talked online everynight we went out once a week. When the second month came it was okay so he only told his wife about me but not his mother or other kids and that really really hurt me because he said he was getting around to it. So here is the third month hes not calling or being online anymore. And keeps canceling plans and saying its too cold to come out. Now i began asking questions and not getting full answers. Now i dont want to tell him how i feel im really mad and angry all the time
btw im almost 13

Should i tell him how i feel

I was at the store the other day with a friend and our kids when we ran into this man my friend and her husband hang out with. I know this guy, but don't hang out with him or anything. When I had stepped away he took my friend aside and told her that my daughter is going to "be hot" in a few years. My friend didn't think it was a big deal, but I thought it was creepy and if I had heard I think I would have gotten mad and said something to the man. My daughter is only 7 years old, and people will tell me she's adorable or pretty, but I've never had anyone say that she's going to be hot. Was this wrong of that man to say or am I overreacting?

i hate my moms house, i dont wanna live wit her anymore. my dad just got a new house and i really like it and its in the same skool zone for my skool. his old house was in a whole diffrent skool district. of course my mom will not want me to move in with him, im her only girl and she like depends on me to wacth my younger brothers. but the reason i wanna move in wit my dad is cause whenever my mom is home all she is doing is yelling at me and blaming **** on me. she dosnt believe im depressed i bet if i told my dad about it he would actually care and believe me. how should i tell my mom i wanna move in wit my dad and how should i tell my dad i wanna move in wit him.

First of all... Its not ME.

A friend of mine had toddler twin boys when she found out she was prego with triplets. Yikes! No fertility drugs either, she was on the depo shot. Anyway... some people were appalled, and said she should consider "selective abortion", and have one or two of the babies aborted to give the other(s) a better chance at survival since triplets are so high-risk. I was wondering what your opinion is on this. My friend is a wonderful mother, happily married, great career in biology and her hubby is a doc. Its not like they couldnt support the kids. Would you kill off one or more of your babies if you were prego with multiples AGAIN, to be "fair" to the other children?

As a student, does a teacher's lifestyle influence how you look at him the classroom.

As a parent, does a teacher's lifestyle make you request a different teacher?

How would you like your children's teachers to act outside of school?

I let my daughter stay the night at her Aunties house. My sister ended up leaving to the store, and left her 2 kids aged 18 months and 4 and my daughter 7 with her husband so she could go shop alone-toltally understadible.

Except her husband left all the kids home alone so he could go party. Infact he never even came back home. I'm furious because I would never leave my child home alone my GOd shes only 7!.

To make matters worse she was left with my sisters kids aged 18 months and 4.

I'm really mad, and not sure what to do about it. My sister doesnt seem to want to do anything about it. If that were my husband i'd kick his *** out. I told my daughter she cant stay the night over there again, and she is upset over it. But i'm worried about my sisters kids. What if she decides to leave them with her husband again, and my daughter isnt there to protect them?

I'm just really upset, mad and confused

what would you do?

My ex-boyfriend and I have a 2 year-old-daughter together. I have full-custody, but during the weekends she goes by him. While he was finished Med-school. I covered everything, I paid for my daughter's tution (private day care) shelter, food, clothing and medical expenses, and it was agreed that upon working he would cover for everything outside being provided in the home. We had a perfect relationship together and he also paid $1500.00 in monthly checks.

Everything was fine, until his sister butted in and exclaimed to him that $1500 is more than enough to support our daughter, but now it's also supporting me. So she encouraged him to cut the $1500 down to $880.00. Ok, I didn't mind that at first, but then he decided that it should cover, her day care, medical expenses and food/clothing and began to shun us off. I was pissed. Pissed because I work full-time, attends to school right after and I now cover the majority of my daughter's needs.

My son (4 years old), after playing with two bigger kids (8 and 6 each) whose parents are our close friends', complained that 'it's no fun because they always put me in the last position and didn't listen to me'. We totally understand that situation, but what should we tell him, what kind of guidance we can give him for future's reference? And also, any good sites, books to recommend?
