erm... i'd give him a refrigerator box. or maybe an old tv box. you know, cardboard and stuff?
i'd take him on a drive to find a box, and set him up in the back/front yard or something with this box and maybe some crayons
i loved that when i was little

visit your local liquor store and ask them to put aside some boxes for you..
you're going to have to break down a couple for the support beam across the top so the top doesn't fall in, or if you can get a flat box like mirrors come in.. walmart or target might be able to help you with that.. maybe a furniture store. stack the boxes around in a U shape.. the flat one goes on top.. then another layer of boxes on top
Give him a blanket and some small toys to go in there with him.
he's a happy camper. Other than the flat one... let him do it., you can help, but let him construct it.

Put a blanket over the kitchen table. Dump a couple of pillows and some toys under there and see how You go.

go to your local toy store and purchase a club house for him. those are so easy to put together and he will have hours of fun with one. ours is in his bedroom. he loves it!!! his imagine has no boundaries!!!
