Can some one explain to me what it means? What are the thoughts and feelings that single mothers have? My girlfriend is a single mother one one child and Although we have been together for 2 years, I feel that I don't know what to do at times to help out, be supportive, or sacrifice of myself more and she gets frustrated when this happens.

would you think he was turning gay or would you think it was cute and that he would be a good father one day, or would you think nothing. Would you let him play with it, or would you take it away from him?

OK Here it goes.

1. me and my husband work full time jobs 8-5
2. My children's baby sitter found a job so she won't be able to watch my kids anymore. (She would watch them until my husband came home.)
3. She tells us this morning that she starts this week
4. we don't know anybody else who will watch my kids.
5. we can't afford daycare.

Am i screwed or what? i don't know what to do, i think i'm gonna have to quit my job! Which is bad!

my 5yr old son has known his stepdad since he was 1 he calls him dad, He has no contact with his real father. It would be nice if he could adopt him. How do you go about it and do you need permission of the real father, do you need to pay and do you need a lawyer. anybody had this done.

Cant wait to hear from you all. Thanks

My 8 year old has started to we think sleep walk
last night he was up 2 hours after he was put too bed ,he wandered round the hall then into the living room sat on my knee sort of cried or mumbled walked out and went back to bed when i checked he was in his bed he opened his eyes said he was cold and asked for his hot water bottle .we've seen him do this a few times when he's got up to go toilet and went back to bed ,so far these things have happened while we were still up and not sleeping .My sister used to sleep walk when she was younger and could have full conversations go back to bed and not remember in the morning,When i asked him this morning did he remember being up he thought i was joking and wanted to know every thing he did should i be worried or just keep putting him back to bed undisturbed ?

Even if he we are able to push him to sleep on his bed..he would invariably come and sleep with us in the middle of the night. Another thing we have noticed is that he sleep walks when he sleeps on his own bed whereas he sleeps wonderfully well when he sleeps with us.

I used to be a stay at home mom from the birth of my second child, and stayed that way for almost five years now. Well, i can't really rely on my husband's income only, so i decided to take out an offer to work. The working hours are from 8 to 5, monday to friday, saturday 9 to 3. I really feel guilty about leaving my kids, specially since their dad has to work too. I leave them with my Mom. Should I feel this way?

If you did, who gave it to you, and how was it positioned out?

Was it just the informal taps, or actually laying down? Did they make you just wear your undies (LOL)?

Any pinches? haha

My 9 year old daughter has always been a sensitive child right from birth. She is also very adamant. Now she is 9 and still continues to be overtly sensitive to the point that we, her parents, get really nervous to take her out coz she could spoilt our entire day moaning and groaning if we ever said or did something that hurt her (even jokingly). She does not have friends due to this nature and cribs/cries a lot. When at home, she cries to the point of becoming hysterical and breaks everything at sight...nothing we do will stop her !! We used to slap her if she did cried, but from the last 6 months stopped that and ignore her if she throws tantrums. But now it has got worse and she hurts herself by beating herself or poking herself with pencil ..... till she gets our attention and then expects us to apologise to her.
Why does she behave this way? Is this normal? We are worried because her 2 1/2 year sister is showing similar traits of late.

I can't get my 4 year old to swallow his medicine. Do other parents have any tips?
I can get it down but he vomits it back up. It is for his Asthma (Redipred). The doctor told me some kids just have a really good vomit reflex and to just keep giving it to him again every time he spits it up. He gets so upset and stressed I am starting to wonder if I may be doing more harm than good. All that screaming and heavey breathing sometimes triggers an attack. Any help you can give would be great?
I posted this before but didnt get many answers. Please dont report I am just trying a different catagory in the hope of more answers!!!!!!

My 28 months daughter is really showing signs of terrible twos now. She has a fixed way of doing things and getting things done. Like for example she wants to wear gloves first then socks followed by shoes and then the jacket and if we try to alter anything she throws a big tantrum. Similarly she throws a big tantrum when we stop her from doing other naughty stuff. This happens every day without fail and my stay at home wife gets exhausted by the end of day. If we try to do anything out of the ordinary or her way she throws a big tantrum, she will cry and scream, recently she has also starting throwing things around and also tries to hit us as well. . She is overall a very fun loving and happy kid but nothing seems to working for her. We have tried talking to her and punishing her as well by giving her time out (1-2 minutes) in the bath room but she does it again and again.

to help me engage with my 12 and 10 years old kids. I am a working mother and when I find time, I like to be left alone. But I am afraid that this is not right all of the time. I am looking for ways to engage with my kidds other than watching TV or movies together; may be sharing games like scrabble. I need to talk to them about how to be useful to their own family, friends, community but without lecturing them.

Okay, I've never been on food stamps, and I have absolutely nothing against those who need them. My question is, for those of you who are on them. Do you believe you should be allowed to get soda and chips with them? They aren't necessities and I personally don't feel you should be able to. If you want them bad enough, use cash. Just curious as to what other people think about this.

he goes to school for 2 hrs. in the morning and works from 11-5 or 6 mon thru fri. We have two other kids living at home, one 17 and one 12. The 17 year old is in school all day and has a part time job. His hours are very minimal though. My question is, regarding chores around the house and babysitting the 12 year old, albeit once a week at best for only a few hours or so,my husband and I argue a lot over who should do what. He feels my 17 year old should babysit more and do more chores and the 19 year old doesnt have to pitch in with chores at all because he works. The 19 year old also feels that he shouldn't have to babysit at all on the weekends since that is when he sees his girlfriend Although the 17 year old now has a girlfriend. Any advice here, I am sick of arguing over this.

How does this help a missing child. Wouldn't it just identify a missing child who is unidentifiable, and if they are unidentifiable, isn't it too late. (sorry to be such a downer on the subject of missing children, but I would be afraid to have my child's fingerprints on file with law enforcement. I would be afraid it would backfire on them in the future.)
