I just read on the internet that a company is now selling a home test that checks breast milk for alcohol. I can understand wanting to go out with friends and get a drink, but do we really have that small amount of self control? Can we not sacrifice for our children? Aren't they worth everything?

When my boyfriend and his wife divorced, she got custody of the kids. She took all of the kids stuff with her. When I met him, all the bedrooms were empty (not even a bed) except his. I have recently moved in and my children were each given a bedroom. His 12 year old son is that he does not get to keep his bedroom. His dad tried to talk to him but the boy is too angry to even try to understand. What is your opinion?

I am writing a paper on spanking children and I am to be in the pro view (in favor) of spanking even though I am actually against it. I need a few things to get me started.

1. Does anybody know where I can get some resources for this? All the ones I have found are against spanking.

2. I need 3-4 points to focus on in the paper, what could they be?
I really can't think of any points that I could focus on and write paragraphs about.

3. What are your views on spanking?

I have taken care of my daughter since she was 1month old she is now 8 months. Her biological mother had no part in her life but i occasionally talked to her because we are related. My husband and I are in the process of adopting her.She told me who the father was but he is into drugs and stuff and so is she. Shayna was born with withdrawls. I have recently heard that she is getting money from the father for Shayna, I have not received any money from her at all. Now the father wants to see Shayna and I don't know what to do. Should i let him see her?

We are separated and she has a boyfriend. My kids have shared that he spends the night and that they make funny noises at night. Should I go to court? My kids are 7 and 4.

Don't I have the right to say that the OW SHOULD NOT SPEND THE NIGHT with my husband when my kids are with him
My lawyer is filing papers to stop this. This will include ski trips or anything where they can get the impression that this activity is OK. People are saying that what they do with him is up to him even though apparently the courts don't think so. I am tempted to remove custody from him all together.

We are not divorced or even legally separated.

By the way, I am dating someone. This is not about whether my H sticks it in a woman, man or horse. I don't want my kids in that environment.

My bf is not spending the night. Thank you.
Addendum:
My lawyer just called to say that the judge signed the order first thing this morning. Guess the courts can dictate, huh?

I feel like I am taking life too serious.. There's a saying, a time to laugh, time to cry, etc... Yet how do I find a happy medium?
A senerio: Kids are playing in the mud.. Why can't I join them and have fun? Instead I am worried about the clothes not coming clean, tracking it in the house, etc...
When the kids and I talk.. They know/should know by now how I feel about certain things/actions..etc.. Yet I always seem to give advise, lecture, have serious conversations, etc.. Why can I just let go and have fun with them? Why can't I just joke around and not take things so seriously? Of course I want them to be responsible, etc.. Yet now I notice they seem to act serious most of the time. Like they don't know how to cut loose.
Any advise?

I thought it would teach them a lesson not to wake up so early in the morning. It probably did the trick, but i had to shave most of their hair off to get rid of the cellotape.

I have a neice who is ten. she has been stealing money from her mom for quite some time. it started with a dollar here then the amounts started going up. last week she stole $150. my sister was frantic because she thought she had misplaced it and was becoming irresponsible. all week long the kids asked to go for dinner, and she told them she had no money to do this. she had no money for gas, groceries. nothing. now my neice is sitting there not saying a word. we went to the mall, and she had some birthday money left, next thing we know she is spending quite a large amount of money, when asked she lied and said the $50 bill was what the lady gave her back in change. that was a lie. after me standing over her, she finally told the truth and has been grounded. how do we deal with this stealing and lying from a ten year old?

Has you child had Febrile seizures?
my 17 month old had a febrile seizure the other night, the scariest thing i had ever seen or been through, just wondering how any other parents handled this, and if i handled it ok. i kind of freaked, i was crying i called 911 but was there something else i should have done (i did turn him to his side)
he is doing better now, he was in the hospital two days and everything was fine when he left, but i am absoulutely afraid to be away from him, my mom who also is my daycare provider had to force me to go to work today because i wouldnt let him out of my sight.
is this behavior normal after somehting like this.

my three year old is becoming very naughty, she has started being very rude, demanding things and when i say no she just screams for ages, she thinks that she can have everything she wants, i think my nan is the problem, she has her every so often when i have a driving lesson, or need to work at short notice, when my daughter has been with my nan she is very naughty when she comes home. my nan gives her sweets even though i say no, she buys her toys just because she wants them, even when i tell her that she need to earn treats and when i ask my nan what my daughter has eaten she never tells me the truth, how can i stop my nan doing this to my daughter, i've tryed telling her but she does it behind my back. thanks
