I thought it would teach them a lesson not to wake up so early in the morning. It probably did the trick, but i had to shave most of their hair off to get rid of the cellotape.

hair grows about 1 cm a month, so you can use this method to discipline them a few times a year. good for you .

Are you mad or just stupid. How did you think you would get the sellotape off being that it is a sticking agent that is meant to stick to things. It is stickier than an elastopast and you know how sore they can be to remove from anywhere there is hair growing. You did this to stop them waking up so early in the morning, what would you do if they really did something wrong. I can't blame your wife for being angry, you are lucky she hasn't reported you for abuse, but then she probably knows you are a moron.

It is not good,you should have done something else but not cutting their hairs,it is a painful punishment,when i was young my father did that to me,cutting my hair saying that is big and my mother was so hurt and so was me,i cant forget that but it was 19 years ago and i still get hurt when i think about it,more so he was not nice to me maybe if he called me gently and told me that my hair was not good and he should have agreed with my mom not to do his own decisions only,maybe i should have understood. So i think you did this because the cellotape cant go off their hair and find it best to remove the hair,it was not intentionally,so dont worry the hair will grow and they will look good.

Are you for real No wonder your wife is angry,that's child abuse if the kid wants to get up out of bed then let them and take them to bed with you don't tape them together,How would you feel if your wife was to do that to you and tape your head to the pillow,Move over Hommer Simpson.
And in the mean time maybe you should buy them a hat.The hair will grow back in a few weeks

hair will grow back up to 1 inch a month. let's say your children's hair is about 6 inches long. This means you've just made the next 6 months miserable for them. Try to ask someone to make your life miserable three times a week and see how you'd feel. As the case of your children, they'd feel miserable twice as much as you would. Besides, I honestly do not think you could do that without hurting them. Perhaps you should try another less damaging strategy next time.

You can't be serious! Did you really think it would be alright to do that? And then tell everyone! I love my sleep more than most but I would never do that to any of my three children. You should be expecting a visit from childrens services, havent you heard of closing doors or locks for your door. How about providing something to keep them occupied and quiet until you get up! I think you should shave your own hair off so you can find out how long it takes to grow back!

Lol, oh c'mon, PEOPLE! Child abuse? Hardly. A parenting boo-boo? Probably. Give this guy a break, after all, if his Q was "How long does it take for hair to grow back?" just how many of you would have responded? These kind of detailed Q's are way more fun to answer, and you all know it! As for how long it takes, hair grows about 1-3 cm per month, it grows faster in summer than winter, and faster when washed at least every other day. As for how long will your Q be debated......LOL, who knows!?

kids wake up early thats just what they do. What made you think cellotaping their heads would mean they didn't wake up so early? If i was your wife id stick duct tape over your mouth whilst you were asleep and then id wrap aload of it round your head and chest and legs so that you would have to pull it all off. I hope you have boys and not girls because it wont grow back in week its gonna take a while.

You are joking. I don't blame her for being angry. You can't
expect them not to wake up early. You wake up when you
wake up. You probably could have used baby oil or something
like that to get the tape off without chopping the hair off.

Please tell me that this is a joke. I am disturbed at some of the advice given here. This is not funny, joke or not and not a good example to set to kids either. You are the adult and are supposed to act like one. Your wife is quite right. How would you feel if someone else did that to your kids?

if you're being serious(which i doubt) then you'd better watch your back for social services..you have strange sense of humour though if you expected people to take this as a joke...child abuse is very serious issue and shouldnt be used to get attention.i really dont believe you did this ..unless you're a simpleton, in which case i feel sorry for your poor wife... three kiddies to deal with
