I don't think anyone is 100% gay or straight. Everyone at some point has fantasised about same sex fun (especially the guys who deny it the most. Usually the same ones that end up flying to Bangkok to meet up with ladyboys). So might be difficult to determine sexuality.
If it where possible though I probably would want my child to be mostly straight as at some point I would want grand children and the like.

How does that work??! I wouldn't change the sex no, as long as the baby was healthy then what it chose to do in later life would be entirely its choice, why would you possibly harm the child just because there is a chance it could be gay, we live in a society where being homosexual is becoming more and more acceptable... Its not as if were living in history and it would be thrown in prizon or anything!
If a person, whether it be male or female, is attracted to the same sex then why should it matter to anyone else?
Mothers especially should do all they can to make their children happpy and if that is accepting your childs sexuality then so be it I say! (",)

Nope. Your baby is your baby. They're wonderful and unique whatever. Just want them to be healthy and happy. In the modern world it doesn't matter I have friends and relatives who have adopted children so it's no longer even a barrier to being a parent. What kind of world would introduce such testing? WHis would suggest that gay children were second class or not as good - really not a route we want to take.

A child can be gay whatever sex. I didn't know that prenatal DNA's could tell if your baby was going to be born gay. That puts the theory that people BECOME gay on its head.

What a stupid question.
First of all I wouldn't have the test. I don't agree with these prenatal tests for various conditions - it is a step towards selective breeding.
Being gay isn't a condition and wouldn't effect the way I felt about my child.

A persons sexuality is entirely up to them. I personally would love my child no matter what their sexuality turned out to be. As it is I had an uncle who was gay, and my brother has aslo admitted he's curious, so I have been in a similar situation, family wise, and trust me it doesnt make you love them any less. I respect all people, no matter of age, sex, colour, race, creed or religion. People make thier own choices, and as long as they are happy...why not?

Thankfully there is no such test. The very idea seems not too far removed from the idea mooted by the late Lord Jacobovits, who argued for a system of eugenics. The problem is that next we'll push the boundaries in terms of looking for causes. The follow-on from that is looking for 'cures'.

I have 3 kids already and I don't care about their sexuality - it has nothing to do with me - I only hope that they are happy with the partners that they chose in time. If the test had been available whilst in the womb I wouldn't take it - waste of time, risk to baby, waste of money and utterly ridiculous

No. The baby will become whatever the Good Lord intends. I would no sooner change a babys sexuality than change a baby from deaf to hearing, or blind to sighted, or any other thing that child may be predetermined to have. Believe it or not, tests aren't always right, and if they ever invent one that can predetermine sexuality, we need to start educating people about acceptence.

Well at this present moment in time, a 'gay gene' has not been discovered and DNA tests cannot predict your child's sexuality.
I'm not a mother to be but if you're suggesting that some mothers may abort their children then I think that that is wrong.
