When we went to Sears the other day, my parents left me alone to watch my little brother (he's five) for a few minutes in the store. I've babysitted him before and I was grounded because me & my sister locked him in his room (he's really destructive, he could kill someone).

First, he went to the bathroom on one of the display toilets. When I told him to get off, he said "NO" so I pulled him off pulled up his pants. He then pulled down his pants and ran around the store with his pants down with me chasing him.

The security got called. When they asked me if I was supervising him, I tried to explain how my parents left me to look after him, but then we had to sit in the security office.

I'm now grounded for a month, and my parents, again, olny disciplined me but not my brother. Help please.

my brother and i broke into our dads cabinet in the garage and spilled a bottle of something on the garage floor. we tried to clean it up but our mom found out. it smelled really bad and i'm not sure what it was. once she found out she sent us to our room. i have a bunk bed with with my brother. when my dad got home from work i could hear him yelling and he came up, opened our door grabbed my brother, yanked down his shorts and underwear and spanked him then he did the same thing to me after he was done with him. my brother is in 3rd grade and i'm in 7th. i can understand why he gets spanked but i am way to big. what can i do to not make him not do that?

in being a mom, a stay home mom. I have done this for the past three years, my husband works out of town alot and will not help with daycare cost so I can get a job (catch 22 there). I am becoming more irritated and angry everyday, I feel like a loser since I havent done anything with my life and when I see someone else my age driving their new BMW and enjoying life I get internally angry. I was lied to and thats how I got pregant (long story) he knew I wasnt on BC as condoms were my BC for 8 years and they never let me down. Anyways, I feel like my life is going no where and I dont know where to start to even get one, I have no friends I can vent to as I have lost them all to appease my husbands insecuirties. I am a dependant too, and I dont want to be depending on a man when I am 30. But due to owing 8000 in student loans (bad timing) I cant even go back to school. My husband said 3 years ago he would pay it off if I stayed home and I did, and nothing. I dont know what to do

I have a 6-year-old daughter. When she was an infant and toddler, it was easy to find modest clothing for her. But at a size 6x, it has become increasingly difficult to find modest things for her to wear. Everything is hip hugging, plunching neckline, bare back, etc.

Would you be willing to pay a little extra and shipping costs to get fashionable but modest clothes at an online retailer that specialized in such for little girls? Or would you prefer the cheaper, slightly or hugely immodest clothes at your local retailers?

In Judaism the age of modesty begins at 3

Rabbi DovBer Pinson: Three is the appropriate age for parents to begin dressing their daughters modestly.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With regards to sexual issues, the Sages have determined that at the age of three a girl is a viable sexual person -- as opposed to a male who reaches sexual viability at the age of nine. (This is despite the fact that it is forbidden for a parent to marry a daughter until she has matured and is capable of consenting to the proposed match). For example, the laws of yichud (which forbid unrelated members of the opposite sex to be secluded together) begin at the age of three and nine for females and males, respectively. Therefore, the laws of modesty, which are primarily a way of preserving one's sexual privacy, begin when a child reaches the age of three.

My ex/bf thinks that he may be the father of my son, not my husband. He asked me if I would be willing to do a discrete DNA test. The unwilling incident happened on 3-14-04 and my son's due date was 1-7-05. He was born on 12-29-04. First Day of Last Menstrual Period: April 3,Probable Date of Conception: April 17
Positive Pregnancy Test: April 17 to May 30
Boy or Girl? Early Gender Test: May 30 (6+ weeks after conception)
CVS: June 12 to June 26 (8-10 weeks)
Amniocentesis: July 18 to August 27 (12-21 weeks)
Due Date: January 7, 2005 (39 weeks)

Should I agree to do a discreet DNA test to prove that my husband is my son's father and not this guy.

Ever since my daughter was born, about 3 months ago My sister has been staying with me and my husband. She was out of work so she moved in with us to help me out with the baby. But now she is returning to the work place! I always just handed my daughter off to her if I needed a shower, to do laundry, etc, ect...

So how do you Moms do these sort of things when Its just you & the kids?!

Creative ideas for reading to babies?

Do you read a few of the same books over and over again, or read many different types of things?

Right now I read whatever they seem interested in. Brown Bear is their favorite.

My 6-year-old daughter is very smart. She knows the truth about "where babies come from" in details(appropriate for older children) but she easily assimilates them. She reads books about these things and is very interested in it already 1 year.Recently she asks me what 'oral sex' means. She knows how standard sex is being made but I think she is a bit too young to be explained the oral one.It may be disgurting for her.How do I explain it without making it disgusting?

He was a big tall mellow chubby kind of kid... After friend recommended some testosterone injections and karate classes, things have changed. He is 16 now - big mountain of agressive muscle (6'1, 220 lbs). He beat some of his bullies to an unrecognizable pulp! He is in court again now for the 4th time. I am very proud and concerned at the same time. Any advice?!

My GF's 15 yr old son is addicted to World of Warcraft and he will do anything he can to play that stupid game. He is flunking out of school because he never does any homework and just plays WOW all night after school. My GF took his computer away from him and put parental controls on his WOW account but it didn't stop him. He opened another account under a different name and goes over to a friends house after school and plays the game. He has been told to come home right after school but he just comes and goes as he pleases and doesn't do anything his Mom tells him to do. The parents of his friend let him come over even though they know he is not allowed to be there. Does my GF have the right to call the police and get her son out of his friends house? What can my GF do to control her son? She is very loving to him but he does not respond. He calls her a whore and is very very disrespectful just because she will not let him play the game. His father is a deadbeat and doesn't help.

I'm a single mom to a 6 year old boy named Clayten and my family and friends are always telling me I baby him. I do treat him as special, because he's my only baby and I had him when I was 19. Maybe I'm just trying to hold on to him. I guess I better nip it in the bud before it becomes even harder when he's bigger.

I just had to put this out here and I guess have my time for once to rant. I was going throught the questions and saw some person put this...
Your question "Do we as adults and parents have no self control?" is a pretty broad one but the answer is Yes, many of us do have self control. The adults and parents which no self control more than likely are not breastfeeding

How crazy is that bull. Makes me mad. Some women have medical issues and some women have a low milk supply. Then their are preemies and babies that have a hard time latching on. Don't think that I'm mad because I formula feed, I breastfeed. It was just an ignorant comment to make.

First of all, his father is a good father. He goes to every activity the child in involved in. He is at our home everyweekend. We take him places and do things with him a lot. Second, he has a room at the house. It is the room he requested origionally. It is just not the room he now wants after my daughter has moved into it. Does this change any of you opinions?
