raw meat diet????

Question

i watched this show on TLC last night about people eating an all RAW meat diet.....it that just totally gross or what.....i can believe the people actually do this but apparently there is quite a number of people who do this and it has become some sort of little society....what does everyone think about this raw meat thing???? would you and your family eat raw meat????

i saw that last night also....was that not the weirdest, grossest thing ever.....i dont think anyone in the family was healthy or normal.....it seems to me that they were all just a tad brainwashed and in the long run are doing more damage than anything....dont they know that your body and your brain needs certain amounts of fats and oils to function properly....maybe that is why they all couldn't even form a coherent sentence...the father had sever emotional issues and so did the son.....he has some major anger issues and seemed like he couldn't rationalize his emotions or deal with disagreeing with someone.....i feel bad for them and think that they have a very sad life and that house was just plain nasty......what are they going to do when all that crap finally catches up to them and they get really sick......are they going to eat raw eggs to settle them down and then what....i think it is highly dangerous and highly stupid

I saw that show, too, and it made my stomach churn. I have read far too many things about the dangers of eating meat which is not properly cooked to ever be tempted to try it. I am sure I would bring it back up even if I DID manage to choke it down. Especially that "high meat" they kept referring to which is raw meat that is several months old. EWWWWWW

You notice they didn't offer any info to back up their statements that it was good for you. And certainly people will not feel well if they have been used to a certain diet and abruptly change what they eat. That didn't mean they were hurting their bodies but just that their bodies had adapted to their peculiar diet.

And that dirty house..... nasty!!!!!!!!

I was watching also and I was astonished buy these people. I understand some of what they wanted to do but the raw meet and the keeping such a dirty house I really really felt for the kids. No I would never eat or serve my children Raw meat.............................

DISGUSTING. Did you see this on Wife Swap? Those freaks eat everything raw and let the meat sit for weeks before eating it. Something is wrong w/ that picture. GROSS!!!!

WOW! I'm watching Wife Swap now (I DVR'ed it)- OMIGOD. I had the same question and went to Y!A immediately. It looked so disgusting- I hate even cutting raw meat let alone eating it!

I saw that show and thought that family was crazy. All the other raw foods seem ok but the meat... yuck! I thought the dad was sooo crazy when he said God wouldn't send germs and they let their house run filthy with germs. It was sick. I thought the mom made transformations though.

I saw that too and it made me sick to my stomach. I understood wanting to know where their food was coming from and growing their own vegetables and raising their own meat, but why not cook it.
