I just wanted to know why in the world there are 12year old having babies?? There was one thats 10years?! Where are the parents???? And the education?? why are they allowing this? They are parents they should act like one!!! I think this is crazy anyones agree

Yeah it is happening alot cause girls are starting there periods at younger ages now days. The kids are lying to there parents and say there going bowling or a movie and really going to a party or hanging out with a guy, I have seen my brother lye and hes 17 so I am sure younger kids are doing it too. Some parents don't even have talks with their kids about sex and they don't learn about sex till about 5th grade, so maybe thats why younger kids around 10 years old are getting pregnant. Some parents are in denial that there kids would be out there having sex but they really are. I work at a retail store and I was helping out in the baby's department and the lady asked me something and it started up about her daughter being pregnant and she was only 15 years old and the mom was all excited and happy for her, I thought that was nuts. Some moms don't care if there kids are pregnant or probably to busy caught up in there life not paying attention to there kids. I also hear alot on talk shows and in life that girls are falling in love with guys which makes them want to get pregnant, others think they will grow up faster, some think that they guy will have to stay with them to get pregnant, and some girls trick guys into getting them pregnant...world turned pretty crazy!

crappy parenting isn't always the case, i'm sure you didn't listen to everything ur parents told you or taught you for that matter. Granted 10yr olds should not be having sex let alone any teenager. Some parents don't even know that their kids are having sex. It's not becuase they're stupid and don't pay attention. Kids are excellent at lying and making up stories and telling half truths. My parents thought i was the best, well behaved kid. But did they know i lost my virginity at 15? No, they didn't. I got the education on it, and I seriously couldn't ask for better parents. So having that did i listen...no..i still had sex. And i can tell you right now if they knew i had sex at 15 they wouldn't have allowed it one bit. Kids (at every age) want to feel like they fit in, and yes sex among adolecents are increasing, some i'm sure think that if they have sex they'll be accepted for some reason. Others just go through a rebellious stage. Yes blame the parents if they know there kids are having sex and "say" that they're trying everything that they can to stop it. But my parents are amazing..didn't have a clue though. That doesn't make them bad parents. I was just a great lier.

Yes! It's very crazy! I'm very scared raising my children in today's world with sexuality being tossed around like it's no big deal. I talk to my kids all the time about this stuff. It's very true that the education system only focuses on abstinence, so I try my damndest to teach my kids the right way. None of this low rise jean crap and knee high boots.

Kids are going to have sexual relationships no matter what or where thier parents are..
And if the kid gets pregant..it is in the end a personal choice of the own kid who is pregant..wether they will keep the baby or not.
Some dont get pregnant on purpose and are pregant cause they've been raped..
you should be careful the way you are your questions..you might offend someone ..
Kids end up going thier way wether their parents agree or not.
did you always do what your parent told you to do ?
did you ever make a mistake?
im sure you have....and was it your parents fault? ..no it wasnt..it was your own for not listening..your parents were right there and you chose to do the oppisote of what they told you.
You see..my point is..parents are not 100% to blame here...

My mom never ever lied to us at all when my sister and I questioned her about babies and sex. She told us everything we needed to know and gave us some direction. We also had sex education in our school and an A-OK day (abstinence is OK). I plan to do the same with my daughter and when she starts going to school I'm going to make sure they have a sex education program for teens.

Its sad at 12 your still a kid, although these days our children are growing up faster.
Perhaps there parents are unable to care for them? who knows. All i know i have a 10 year old daughter and I'm already talking to her about sex. (that's all boys want) . Esp when they are older.
It is a worry. i hope my daughter stays youthful for a few years yet.
No i do not belive in Kids having Kids.

My aunt is a Nurse Practitioner and she treated a 12-year old pregnant girl, who had a 24-year old mother.

Absolutely! I agree that in our society we have babies having babies.
I think with most parents working and their kids alone, that they become so independent that they think they can do anything. And in a lot of cases the parents can't control them (or maybe I should have said won't control them.)

The parents are probably in their teens themselves.That's why it's a repeated cycle!!!!
