A good tonic is Minadex, you'll get it in Boots. Rich in vitamins and iron so it might give your son a good boost, particularly if you suspect he's a wee bit anaemic.

However, there is nothing you can give him to make him grow. Bodybuilding powders etc. are not suitable for children.

I was a tiny kid in school too, it's no fun. No doubt he'll shoot up when he's ready but it's not nice for him in the meantime. Poor kid! Best wishes to you and your family.

My son is 14 but is the size of an 11yr old My daughter is 11 and looks 9. We all come in different shapes and sizes and kids like teasing others about anything, and at 12 once the testosterone kicks in he'll be due a growth spurt over the next couple of years. Dont Worry and tell your son that hes perfect the way he is as it would be boring if we were all the same.

We tend to forget how difficult childhood can be sometimes, especially if we don't fit-in to what's considered 'average'; we're only reminded of these difficulties as our children go through their school life. Lots of children can seem small for their age at 12, more usually boys who are often later developers. As long as your son has a good appetite, I really wouldn't try dosing him up with anything. The only thing to watch out for is that he's getting an adequate intake of protein, as meat is one of the main providers. Make sure he eats fish, nuts and seeds, pulses, soya products (tofu, soya milk and textured soya protein such as soya mince), cereals (wheat, oats, and rice), free-range eggs and some dairy products (milk, cheese and yogurt). I feel sure that your son will suddenly put on a growth spurt when he's around 15 and by the time he's 16 or 17, will have caught-up with his mates. We're all different and the pattern of growth and development varies from child to child - your son must tell the other kids that good things come in small parcels! One other thing to remember, of course, is the size of you, your husband and the rest of the family - perhaps his size is hereditary?

So long as he eats well and exercises, has regular check ups
with his doctor, to rule out thyroid problems. He will probably hit a growing streak this year or next, most males have a growth spurt as they enter high school. He is just fine Mom, genetically
speaking he may come from small people. Size will even out soon.

You could try Metatone which provides a combination of Vitamin B1 and four essential minerals. It is a liquid formula. Remind him that a lot of good things come in small packages.

Thyroid disease is one of the most common health problems we face today. From a practical standpoint, there are many ways to approach this issue. Learn here https://tr.im/NbCN1

Hypothyroidism, or underactive thyroid, is a very common problem, and there are many reasons for this, including drinking chlorinated and fluoridated water, and eating brominated flour.

Chlorine, fluoride, and bromine are all in the same family as iodine, and can displace iodine in your thyroid gland.

Secondly, many people simply aren't getting enough iodine in their diet to begin with. The amount you get from iodized salt is just barely enough to prevent you from getting a goiter.
