OK Here it goes.
1. me and my husband work full time jobs 8-5
2. My children's baby sitter found a job so she won't be able to watch my kids anymore. (She would watch them until my husband came home.)
3. She tells us this morning that she starts this week
4. we don't know anybody else who will watch my kids.
5. we can't afford daycare.
Am i screwed or what? i don't know what to do, i think i'm gonna have to quit my job! Which is bad!

Check the paper for in home day cares and call your local churches and schools and ask if they know of any. A lot of places have programs available in which you can apply for day care assistance. Good luck, sorry about the situation. I just did the same thing to someone. I watched her kids everyday for free. We aren't talking, she's pretty mad at me. I have 3 of my own and my husband and I need more money. I hope you don't hold any hard feelings toward your former sitter.

You are sort of screwed, your only option is to find a sitter which, at its quickest, takes a few days to a week. I would look for a sitter, you may have to take a few days off but you shouldn't have to quit all together. If you lived near me, I'd watch them for you. Give your boss a head's up so that he/she has as much time as possible to cover you for a few days. Call the local job center or Child Care Resource and Referral for a list of daycares and sitters and hit the street. Good luck and best wishes.

You might be able to find a babysitter maybe someone who just had a baby or a girl Right tout of school maybe until you can find a baby sitter your family can help. how important is that job money wise.
She refused to take care of your children even with pay, how selfish I know they are your children but sometimes family should help especially if it keeps you from going under. Good Luck

First off..it's not your sisters job to take care of your children. It's your job. I suggest taking some time off from work and hire another sitter. Always have a backup plan, you should never depend on just one person.

How old are your kids???
How much do you trust them???
If 8+ Give them a list of chores to do. Tell them to have their homework done by the time you get home.
Chores meaning - mon - clean kitchen
- tues - clean bathroom
And give them "safe" cleaners (like an orange cleaner, and teach them how to use it safely) that will not hurt their hands. This will keep them busy for the couple days till you find a babysitter.
It worked for my brother and I at ages 9 and 7. I am now (20)
When we where bad we got privileges taken away.
It might work for a couple days.

I don't know where u live but if it's a small town.Put a short ad in it asking for babysitter. Until then ask a relative or friend to help.Plus there is headstart for 3 and 4 yr olds for low income families. It's free. Good luck

well take a look at weather quitting is an option for you. Then if it is not put an ad in the paper. You and your husband may need to take turns taking off this week until you settle it! Good luck!

Look in the paper for ads of at-home daycares. Also, ask co-workers and friends with children what daycares or baby-sitters they use.

You can pay a close family member that is old enough, that you can trust for the job
