I really wanted a girl, I lived in a house of 3 boys...........

We read up on when you ovulate and worked out when I ovulated and had sex about my 10th day

A standard cycle is you ovulate 14 days after the first day of your period so if you have sex around the 10th day the male sperm swim faster get to the ovaries and there is no egg there and die so the slower swimming female sperm are there as the egg comes out of the fallopian tube...........

It worked for me and to be honest I cant remember all the details but everything I picked up was on the net.........

I must be honest though, I could not fall pregnant for ages then realised that it didnt matter about the sex as long as I had a healthy baby

Hi i have 2 sons aged 5 and 6 and i just had my 20 weeks scan and they said it was another boy. ive been devasted, not that im not going to love him when he comes, but i had my heart set on a girl. Everything pointed to a girl ive had morning sickness, cravins and a few problems in this pregnancy, every thing i didnt have when pregnant with the boys. Also my nan died October and told me id have a daurghter. I still wont believe it until he comes out lol but i know when i see his little face, i wont even think about a daurghter.

My Grandpa came from a family of 14. The first 6 were boys followed by a set of twin girls, a few more boys, and two other girls.

My dad came from a family of 3, all boys, his father came from a family of 6, all boys and HIS dad came from a family of 4, all boys. My sister and I were the first girls in 3 generations on this side of the family.

In the end, you are in a genetic lottery. Who knows! If you are really stuck on only wanting a daughter, either sign yourself up for those genetic testing on embryo's they can now do, or adopt. Sounds like, by your luck, you may just have another boy!

i feel sorry for your child if u do have another son - how's it going to feel when it realises that u never wanted another boy ? kids are good at picking up on stuff like that, particularly if older siblings let it slip. there is no certain way of knowing whether or not u will have a girl, so if u and your partner can't handle the thought of having another son, then don't get pregnant.

I too have three sons, My gynae (obs) told me the likelihood of me having a daughter are very slim. That equalled a sterilization - my hubby says I am spade!!!!

However upon reflection, does it really matter if it is a girl or boy? Will you love it any less?

As long as it is healthy and strong, dont worry about the gender.

you have an equal chance of either a boy or a girl if you do get pregnant again and nothing apart from nature will determine what sex your baby would be. If your so against having another boy then I would suggest that you dont take the risk of having another baby. you should be happy to have such healthy children, many people cant have a family of their own and us fortunate people should be grateful for what kids we do have regardless of the sex.

It is absolutely impossible for anyone on here to tell you if you will have a son or a daughter!
It's a random act, but there could be something in your husbands sperm that makes boys more likely. So blame him!

Why not adopt? You've had 3 sons and desperately want a daughter. There are thousands of beautiful little girls who desperately want a mom and dad. Maybe your daughter has already been born and that's why you have had only boys?

Google the Shettles Method, tips for a girl
Sex 2-3 days before ovulation, frequent sex before to lower male sperm, sex in missionary position, best not to orgasm as makes more acidic- don't know how true this is but you have 50:50 chance each time.
