Mine do and they are already bored. So I think I will go to the mall tommorrow. My youngest wants to go see Ord from Dragon tales and the older kids want to spend their allowance.
Then I will take a trip to the museum and the library. What else is fun that doesnt cost much money?

How old are your children? What part of the country are you in? My kids are off, but it is too cold to go to the park. The idea of doing the museum and the library sound like fun. I live in New York so sledding would be fun. Making a snowman. Going to the area McDonalds if they have a play area. Go rollerskating or ice skating. Maybe go to the local ice cream store. Some ice cream stores have board games you can play while you have ice cream. Our library also has activities going on during vacation. Good luck and happy vacation.

How old are they? If they're still in elementary school, I bet you could really get them involved in a "project" for the week. Take them to a craft store, (I know~ they will probably initially not be thrilled about Joann Fabircs :-) ) but they have soooo many things, paints, models, (planes, cars) stamps, "make your own" jewelry boxes, teddy bears, purses, posters~ also, depending on how old they are, they have so many unfinished wood pieces that they could paint for their rooms. It might initially cost some money, but think of the time they could devot to it if you run out of things to do outside the house? Also, your state's website probably has tons of kids activities posted that going on this week for all the "vacation" kids. Some of them are free! Check it out...Have fun!

Here they are only 1 1/2 weeks into the new school year. Take them to a park, skating, bike riding, scootering, catch up with friends, a resturant with a playground inside.

why don't you go to the library and read a book,or you can go shopping,or you can play on the computer,or watch tv,or why don't you take them to the museum like you said, why don't you play a few board games or make crafts with play-dough or paint or crayons or you can go and see a movie.or take them shopping.
