I'm adopted and my parents told me as soon as I could talk. What do you think would be the best time to tell a child?

I have a small heater in my room because it is very drafty and cold plus my son sleeps on the floor which is not good but.... . my aunt keeps saying my children get colds because I use the heater. At the moment none of my children are in daycare but my son does attend school.

Ever since I was pregnant it started, they never asked if the baby was okay, and once our son was born they went to the Bahamas and didn't see him until 3 weeks after he was born. They live 20 mins away. Nobody saw our son until he turned 1 when they came to his birthday party. Not one of his Aunt's or uncle's want to know about him. When I was pregnant with my daughter the same thing happened again. Nobody has seen her and she is 10 months. Nobody on my husband's side of the family wants to spend time with our children. I know that once they get older they will try to be more involved, but what do I tell my children when they are old enough to realize that they never see their grandparents, uncle's and aunts? What should I do, we use to go there all the time, but our house is more commidating for our children, they never come. What to do?

She called me a bad word so I called her one back and said "SO THERE" which set her off, so long story short she got me suspended and my dad punished me. I wrote an email of complaint to the school board to complain last night but I want to make sure they don't ignore her rage control problem which is disrupting my education.

Well last year my parents passed away and my younger sister(she is 17 i am 24) came to live with me. Well she had been acting out a bit the last 3 months but nothing serious. But a few days a go she showed up at the house at 4 in the morning clearly drunk(probably done drugs) Well first i figured I should take care of her now and we would discuss it tommrow. So i took care of her and what not. The next day I went in to her room to speak to her about it and she cussed me out. I was so upset i pulled her over my knee and spanked her long and hard. Her bottom was crimson. I left her to collect herself and came back to speak with her about 10 mins later. We hugged, I explained my situation layed out some rules and all that jazz and then we went to a movie. Thinks have been quite a bit better since then. But I just kept feeling weird about it liek I mean i am her sister it was weird to step into the mom mode. do you think this is too werid?

I have a large living room with not much furniture and the outlets spread out. What is the best way to hide the cords or is there something I can buy to hide them?

I was wandering. I am 15 and a male, and I love kids. I have 1 brother and 2 sisters and my dad's girlfriend has 2 little boys. I have plenty of experience, and in most cases, kids usually love me within just a few mins... What do you think?

Ok i know being her first birthday, she wont remember it, but i would like to do something special. It doesnt have to be much. I was thinking of chuckie cheese but that may be too much for her age. I am also thinking of a small party at my home. So if anyone has any ideas or suggestions, it would be very appriciated. Thanks

The other day I was at my cousin and her husbands house. Their 6 year old son was mad at something and while I was in the bathroom he threw a glass cup on the floor in anger and shattered it. I walked past the boy's room and the door had a little crack in it. He had the back of his pants and underwear pulled down and his father spanked him about 8 times. I felt bad for him. Do yall consider this abuse?

Am I the only person that feels this way because at the moment that's how it seems!? I have 3 kiddies & I get visits from family members who insist they're visiting me but if I try to have a conversation with them I'm either ignored or whilst I'm talking they continue to make silly noises at the kids which totally puts me off talking to them!

My sister used to visit & the whole time she'd be here she'd be texting someone, her phone never left her hand & when I said something about it being rude she got a strop on & didn't visit for a while!

I don't get alot of adult conversation so when I do get visits I'm stupidly looking forward to them but even then I still don't get conversation unless it's something they want to share about themselves!

I do wonder if they'd even notice if I got up & walked out leaving them with the kids for an hour or so!

Does anyone else feel like I do?

or should i save the talk till it's done.
Given the fact that my daughter sees her sick grandma frequently and is very close to her. She is seeing her now as she's frailing and getting worse, but she's sort of used to her appearance this way...
