Yes it is possible to support a child as a single mother with out child support or welfare. You need to have a good job to do so as it's very expensive, it's difficult but it can be done.

I am currently doing it. My son is turning 6 this March and this year is the first year I have only had 1 job. His dad is in prison..so that kinda shoots the child support thing. I don't receive any assistance from the state.

It can be done. When you become a parent..espically a single parent...you do whatever has to be done to make the best possible life for your child.

Yes, it is possible. I did it for the first two years of my son's life. But then I got smart and realized that although the father is a complete douche, he still needs to pay child support. So I took him to court and he had to pay $120 a week and that helped out tremendously. Keep in mind that your child is owed that money and you have to swallow your pride. I have the best of both worlds though. My son's sperm donor doesn't see him at all but he pays religiously. and I have a wonderful fiance who has been raising him since he was 2 and is planning on adopting him. Good luck, it can be very tough.

If she has a good job, of course she can. My cousin has three children and only receives the minimum amount of child support from her ex. She has never been on welfare. She even did it before her ex started paying support. I personally feel that all women should have experience in a career field in case they become single. That way they don't have to worry about how they will support their children. You can do it though. Just have faith in yourself.

I have 2 babies under the age of two. I make min. wage and support us just fine without any outside help. It's hard sometimes but somehow we are ok. The kids have everything they need.
