...its cold outside, you are by yourself and you need a shopping cart to put them in? Do you try and park close to the basket return to grab a basket, do your best to carry them in yourself, or leave the car running and run in to get a basket real quick?

I've had this dilemma a few times because hubby is too lazy to go with me or watch the kids and was wondering what other parents do with multiple children. I do my best to park near a basket return and if I can't I drive around until I can, or do my best to carry my children in. My oldest is 2 and youngest is 7 mo. The little one is too big for a car seat so I have to carry her and my 2 yr old walks well but wants to run off if I don't keep a hold of him. What do you do?

I just don't get it and I'm a liberal Democrat. Childrens' brains do not develop fully until late teen years. That's a scientific fact. Sometimes a quicker way to get to the problem is through a different area. My children are both straight A students. If they get in trouble (rare) they get spanked. I'm a pretty liberal blogger but on this issue I go across party lines.

So let's bring it on.

Would you kick your son out of the house if he was gay??
Im just wondering because I'm gay and I want to see what your point of view is, so I dont make the mistake of coming out to my parents and being disowned. Thank You in advance for your answers.

I used to work in a child care centre, and the things the kids would tell us were hillarious! I'm sure the parents would cringe if they knew what we hear. What have you been told that you maybe shouldn't have heard???!!!

A little girl told me once:

:We don't eat dinner till late at our house. Mum and Dad go and have a sleep when Dad gets home from work. He's so tired you know. But I think they tell each other jokes. I hear them laughing a lot. Dad tells really funny jokes!:

I have a friend who has tons of game - the guy has everything - looks, flair, money, etc... but this girl that he really likes tells him she'd rather be friends first. I keep warning him not to fall into this trap... Once you are in the "friend zone" there is no way back and pretty soon he'll be listening to the stories of her screwing other guys. I tell him to turn on all the charm he's got and keep pushing for a romantic relationship... Am I right?

I have a 3 1/2 almost 4 yr old that has SEVERE BEHAVIOR AND MENTAL ISSUES. She has been diagnosised by a pyscholgist with a whole ray of disorders and issues. I also have a normal 18 month old on top of it. I love BOTH of my children dearly but it can be very trying dealing with a child with such severe problems. Today was a very bad day with her. Much much much worse than normal. I'm talking about meltdowns/tantrum that lasted for hours on end. Please dont tell me just to put her in time out or spank her. She is a SPECIAL NEEDS child who I'm doing my best to handle, raise , and help her learn to be a productive member of society and over come these isssues she has. ANYWAYS I finally called my husband about an hour ago and asked him to PLEASE come home from work on time for once because I had had all I could take and was at my breaking point. He basically told me in so many words I was a bad mom for reaching out for help. Let me remind you again this isnt a normal child,

he pays small amount of rent, probably expects that maid service is included in the rent. I'm going to put him out. After all, I want him to be a responsibile citizen not a freeloader. The money is not as important as him becoming a real man--a responsibile, law abiding, adult!

My mother's husband of 10+ years has always been a bit odd and I just do not trust him around my preschooler. He seems loving, caring, etc, but something in my gut has always told me not
trust him. Perhaps he's just strange. The problem is that my child stays over night at their house occasionally. How can I tell my mother not to take her eyes of my child without coming out and accusing him of something that I have no proof of? One time she left him alone with my child and I couldn't believe it, and I don't want it to happen ever again. At the same time, I don't want to deprive my mother of her grandchild because she gets so much joy out of having her around. My child is supposed to spend the night at their house this weekend, and I'm a nervous wreck about it. If only I could set up a camera and have it wired into my cell phone so I could see what was going on all night.......maybe I just shouldn't let her go over there.

From personal experience, what works best for you? Just curious because I'm at home full time ( husband works full time, we have 4 young kids ) and although I'm happy most of the time, I often envy Mums who go out to work and have an 'adult life'. I know that most Mums just do the best they can under their own circumstances, but which makes you happiest?

Say you and your dad were going to mail some letters. When you drive up to the mail box, he wants you to mail the letters. You don't want to get out of the car because it's cold, but you do it anyway. Later, he finds out that you didn't want to mail the letters, and didn't want to "do a favor for him," so he gets angry at you and tells you to "go to hell" and doesn't want to talk to you.

Do you think this is normal behavior?

I am a single mother 27 yrs old and i have a 5 yr old daughter. Every time I'm in the company of a male friend my daughter gets angry and say Momma is that your Boyfriend? Or she screams out she hates me and that she don't love me. She trashed my living room one night because I had a friend over. She even said that she don't want me to have a boyfriend cause she feel that I'm not going to love her anymore. She see a picture of a male in my presence she gets mad and cry and ask if the guy in the pic is my boyfriend. What is wrong with her? I'm afraid when I do decide to have a stable relationship she is going to go wild.

And not be christian, or married.? Can daycare's actually "not accept" you because of well...who you are?
I have a two year old, RARELY go to church, but this place for day care is really cheap! I am not married, with the father but we are in our early twenties.

I have so much baby food that I had purchased for my son, while going through it all because I was going to give some to a friend of mine who has a child who is now starting on baby food I noticed some of them had expired expiration dates. I have heard mixed things about this but wanted to get more opinions I have heard from some people that the baby food is still good because it is preserved very well inside the jar so the expiration date doesn't mean anything. I still don't feel too comfortable with giving someone else expired baby food. I want to throw it away. Has anyone else heard of this before?? What are the recommendations with expired baby food?
