A kid that young can be hard to watch, so heads up! Kids that young like to learn, and they get into all sorts of trouble touching things experimenting, and making messes, so make games up that the kid can do to be occupied and constructive. What I like to do is read to the kid. Help it draw something uses dry erase board stuff. (easy clean) The kid will want to draw better pics than you, even if you are not an artist! Give the kid fives for a job well done. You can play Simon says, ring around the rosies, and peek-a-boo! Movies are great with clean, healthy snacks, and if the kid is unhappy then lay a blanket on the floor and say "nap time" they should understand... of course all kids are different, so get to know how the kid reacts when told "no", "yes" and don't put up with tantrums, or it's time for "time out". The kid should be good, but little kids that young need constant attention, on your part. So overtime continue to be firm, friendly, understanding, and encouraging. If you can keep it up I promise the kid will cry when you have to leave, and he/she will look forward to every babysitting chance you get! Good Luck!

two year olds have a short attention span and also know what they want. Let her lead the way in what she wants to do. Colouring, jigsaws reading (you read to her, most likely the same book over and over lol) play outside, play-doh, she may also be quite happy to play by herself so take a book if she is happy to do this. Also at 2 there is a good chance she will have a sleep in the arvo. When all else fails try a dvd

It depends on how long. At 2, each activity will get you about 30min to an hour. Kids like to do anything new and anything old with someone new. Coloring, dancing, acting out scenes, marching and exercising, building things with blocks or cans, kids like all of these things. If you are good at baking, little kids love to make cookies (give her a small bowl of dough to mush up, no one else will want to eat it when she's done). Check out preschool sites online for cool activities and coloring pages.

Sing songs, like The Wheels On The Bus, nursery rhymes, something she can join in with. Show her pictures in books and ask what it's about. Play with her dolls, teddies, make animal noises and let her guess what they are. Just keep it simple, so she can understand.

Play hide and seek, bring a few coloring books with crayons, make dinner together (mac & cheese, have her stir it or something), watch a fun movie/tv show (my girls really like My Little Pony), play dolls, create imaginary characters (cats & dogs)...
just have fun! try to put yourself in her shoes. What did you like to do when you were little? Ask your mother to tell you what kept you occupied :)
Good luck!

kids love to "read", they may just flip the pages to look at the pics, but if it is ok ask her mom if she like to take baths. i let my daughter sit in the bath tub, me next to her and just let her play. put a towel on the floor an dlet her splash. it will definetly tire her out. also you can try coloring, finger painting(before the bath of course). good luck and just have fun.

she'll probably have favorite toys... ask her to show you her stuff and she'll bring out her favorites. play outside/go to the park if you can... read stories, blow bubbles, color, etc.
