I used to work in a child care centre, and the things the kids would tell us were hillarious! I'm sure the parents would cringe if they knew what we hear. What have you been told that you maybe shouldn't have heard???!!!

A little girl told me once:

:We don't eat dinner till late at our house. Mum and Dad go and have a sleep when Dad gets home from work. He's so tired you know. But I think they tell each other jokes. I hear them laughing a lot. Dad tells really funny jokes!:

Our neighbor's little girl, when asked where their new van was, told us "Oh! We have to park it at Grandmas house and borrow her car, because the bad guys are trying to take it away." I was so embarrassed for them.

I don't know about others, but my now 9 year old told his Kindergarten teacher (about 4 years ago) first, that "daddy died in prison." Then later, told the same teacher that "daddy was going to go to jail for playing with guns."

The above was revealed to me at a parent-teacher conference when the teacher, very respectfully asked if I was his step-father. When I said "No, I'm his natural father.", she then went on to explain.

Then, a year later, his younger brother made a revelation to the local police chief of the small town we lived in that "daddy kept an AK-47 in his work van." Fortunately, the day-care provider was along at the time, and assured the chief that I did not take an AK-47 with me to work.

One of these days, I should write a book.

omg! my 8 yo daughter just told me yesterday that her girlfriend told her that she walked in on her parents. and that she saw her dads but moving up and down. she thought he was trying to climb over her in bed, to get to the other side. I'm afraid to find out what my daughter might tell her friends or even my neighbors . Shes best friends with the kids next door and she comes and tells storeis about them and my neighbor always remarks about getting an earful from my daughter. its become a joke, whenever we see each other.

I used to work in child care and I heard it all too - from proclamations about their parents genitalia to detailed analysis of what mommy looks like naked - and these stories were from children under 2!
