Not one of these "Stuff envelopes" scams that get you nothing.... usually. So far, at home childcare seems to be the best income, from things I have choosen in the past. Your thoughts?
Thanks and Happy New Year!

I am thinking about doing this as I have just one three year old home now. (other 2 in school). Also, I have a previous teaching degree, was a pre-school teacher.
And it would help to know the general area you live in, to compare with my mid Ohio area. Thanks!

Nothing I do EVER measures up to my family's expectations!Everything I have achieved has always been overseen by my family. Anything I have ever done equals to nothing. They don't see it. Since they don't see it, I don't want to do it. Whenever I went after my goals or dreams, I was laughed at.. So I stopped. My family thinks buying and paying for stuff is "supporting" their daughter. I want moral support. I never get it. I never did...

I am so lonely. There is no one to keep me motivated, no one to support me or help me with anything. WheneverI have a dream, I don't have someone there to believe in me. I am 17. Filling out college applications are a dread. Especially FAFSA. My family is always yelling and they don't want to help me fill out the applications. They think I should do everything on my own. If I go to them for advice, they say "You are old enough. If you want to do something, YOU have to do it."

Please help...

He's always crying about things. All sorts of things, you name it. Not getting a certain cup, not playing a game that he had played for a long time (not wanting to share), the sky is blue, etc. He just cries about everything. He's an only child, if that helps determine how I can help.

I don't want to sound harsh, but should I just act tough around him and when he cries like a baby should I shun him and send him to his room or something? Just ignore him? Nothing seems to work.

Serious answers please! Thanks :)

I am a single mother of many years. I have brought the children up on my own. My children are 27, 24 and 21 - all boys and still living at home (studying). The eldest and youngest are very bright and successful. The middle one is not so clever in an intellectual way, but is to my mind a much better person - he is hard working (they all are), but he is also kind and thoughtful. My problem is that the eldest and youngest have no time for for the middle son because he doesn't have their kind of IQ and abilities and are nasty about him behind his back. I am disabled and the middle one helps me in all kinds of ways. The other two help reluctantly and only when I ask. I am at a stage where I can't stand the eldest and youngest because they are such arrogant nasty people regarding their brother, and I have fantasies about leaving home ( which is ridiculous because I am the sole provider of the household rent, food, utilities etc) and never seeing them again. What should I d

I was just reading some questions, and it seems like all the women on here seem to think that men are to be responsible for 100% of a child's expenses and some of the mother's expenses. I'm not saying that all women are like this, I've just noticed an increased number of them. They seem to think that since they are female, they deserve custody of the children and expect a man to work 3 jobs to support the child and the mother. If the women are so much better at being a parent, and think that they automatically deserve custody, why don't they deserve the responsibilites that come with being a parent. I feel that women have too much power when it comes to children. And they tend to use the children as a weapon during a divroce or separation. I know I'm going to catch a lot of flak for this quetion and probably not get an honest answer, but please put emotions aside and answer honestly. By the way I'm happily married, so don't think I have any bias.

Okay, so you catch your 15 year old son with "girlie" pics on his computer. Okay, some of them are pretty gross, but guys will be guys and there was nothing showing bondage, abuse, etc. You look a little closer and some of the pics seem a little too amaturish and you realize that some of them are of teen aged girls who are your son's friends. One is even his girl friend clad in her boxers & bra. What should you do?

My son was offered a full time job a local family business. He would be able to work everyday after school and on the weekends to get his 40 hours in. This would be a completly under the table paying job. They already have about 10 children between the ages of 6 and 14 working for them. My son is excited about the possibility of working and earning his own money to buy body piercings and other childish things. My husband says that we should let him work so that he see what it feels like to earn a pay check. Should I let my 11 year old son work a full time job?

My son is fourteen and I have four younger kids who are 12,5,3 and 1. My husband and I go out every Friday night for a meal and a few drinks and we are usually home by 12.30 at the latest. We always ask our neighbour's daughter(and sometimes her boyfriend very nice also) to sit for us.She is 16 and very good with the kids. Now that my son is 14 he says he doesn't need a sitter but I dont trust him with all four of the younger kids, and I think it is too much of a responsibility for him.I also like him to be in bed by 10.30 at the weekends as he plays sport on a Saturday morning. I can't tell him this as I don't want him to feel like I'm treating him as a kid. He is just not responsible enough the sitter even tells me that she always has to tell him to go to bed that he would never go of his own accord. I know it is embarrassing for him but what else can I do, I gove him responsilbility in other areas, but am I wrong to undermine his ability to sit for his younger siblings?
