My ex-husband left and our son is 3-1/2 yrs old. Everyone keeps saying that I should go out and find a good dad for him. Is it an apsolute need for a young boy to have a father figure in the home? I truely do not feel like I want to deal with having a man in my home again for a while, I just want to get on with my life, and raise my son the best with out a stupid guy trying to tell me how to do things. Will have uncles and a grandfather work as well as having a father figure in the home?

How do we get him to use it! He is lazy! His nurse told my sister to talk off his clothes and see what he will do. The first time he went to the pottie and the rest of the t ime he pisses on the floor. Even after we ask him if he has to go to the bathroom! What is the solution?

I can't believe that my mum didn't "lose" me at a store when I was younger...

I wasn't the best behaved child myself, but I see so many kids bawling or whining for this or that in stores lately.

My son is 15 months and he just recently started throwing temper tantrums- sitting on the floor really hard, sometimes throwing himself backwards, kicking his legs, so I was curious how everyone else delt with them, what you did or didn't do. I'm not about spanking, so I will not do that. And I've found ignoring him helps a lot (as long as he isn't hurt).

Also- how long did this last?

Hi, has anyone had their kiddies at a Montessori creche/preschool? How well do children transition to a regular government primary school? Do they struggle with the structure? Please will you share your thoughts on the pros and cons.

Thanks!

I want to know from both men and women, why when the love and sex is so good and a child is conceived ( as they say by accident). Why does it becomes a blaming game or know "I never loved you" and all the name calling. If the loving was so good, why cant the child be the fruit of such good loving and be blessed with that loving that conceived it instead of blamed and punished.

Is that a lot to ask for?? My parents said ok, but have not said anything since. How much does it cost?? I am sure they have the money, but is it too much for a 16yr old girl to have?? They said yes to a prsche but not to this.

Will they probably not get me one??

My five and ten year old boys woke up today started to fight(yelling and such). It feels like they've set the tone for the new year. I know the gap in their age is part of the problem, but how can I get these kids to appreciate each other instead of going out of their way to be whiny and complaining of each other?

Last night I responded to a question about going to church. I said that I didn't go to church because I'm Wiccan, and there's not that many Wiccan churches. But I also said that I might be joining a Wiccan church here soon when I move.

I received two thumbs down for this answer.

What I want to know is why?

Not everyone is Christian. Why can't people just accept that? Instead you have to give me thumbs down just because I admitted to being Wiccan.

Can someone explain this to me?
