It appears, by the answers, that no-one has ever wondered away from their parent and never whined for something that they wanted. Well phooey on you. I did, and at the age of 30 still tend to “whine” for what I want. If you are laughing, it is only because you know you are guilty! What would YOU do for that laptop, ipod, or car? As a parent of 3, I agree that parents should have a game-plan before taking kids in public; however, we can’t control their every move, we can only react accordingly. Some people may see the bawling and whining child as spoiled, but have you ever thought that maybe the child is sick or tired? Maybe the parent just said “No” about something that is not good for the child. There are times where a parent just cannot say or do anything right through a child's eyes. At the end of the day, parents have done the best we can do. My point is, if you mind your business as much as you minded others, you will realize that you are no more perfect than anyone else.

I think so too. A lot of young parents do.( Under teh age of 22) but you could be 55 with a child(ren) and lose them in a store. The problem is that SOME young parents don't pay attention to what they are doing. But some kids do wonder off on there on. I gald my mom didn't lose me in a store. I was a behaved child.

No parents dont purposely lose their child at a store. Alot of people dont care about their kids like back in the day and dont "parent" properly. Thats why you see so many whiney or crying kids around. Or they are running around the store unsupervised like maniacs. If the parent knew how to control a child or even cared to then their kids wouldnt be such brats. I never acted like that when i was a child. I was behaved whenever we went out.

hahahaha! Wow what a question. :) Well you know it would be a terrible thing if parents did lost their children on purpose, a very terrible thing but I don't think it is unheard of, I mean I've seen those type of kids that bawl and whine and I'm sure there are some parents who would want to lose their children. And i think your mom not losing you is a good thing especially if parents do lose their children on purpose.

No, I dont think so. With the world the way it is now a days, parents should keep their kids by their sides at all times. The ones that do lose them on purpose, have a good chance of not seeing them again.

I don't think parents lose their children at stores, maybe you don't see so many crying and that because mothers are keeping them close to them.

well you got to understand is children do attend to wander off in stores to find what they want and kids could easily get lost and someone can pick them up and drive away.

I used to wander off, so one time my mom walked away and I panicked, but she knew where I was. I never wandered off again

I doubt it.
GOOD parents automatically have a nurturing and loving instinct for their children.
