I was watching a show where a woman spent money all the time. The reason for that was given by the expert was that while growing up she was always told there isn't money for that so now she is making up for going without at a child.
Lately I have been telling my children that, "We have better uses for our money." whenever they want some little trinket at the store. So what is the answer for keeping our kids from going spend crazy when they get older?

I am a plumber and have to deal with the mess outside of the bowl, on the floor, the seat, the walls. Also it is extreme bad taste to hear the waterfall in the bathroom when in someone's home, don't you?

I had a baby in 2000 and the father and I lived together. When she was 10 months old, he took off and moved states away. The birth father moved on to be with another girl and talked to our daughter sometimes. We have not hindered them from a relationship, but the father signed over parental rights to my husband in 2005.
He doesnt pay childsupport and for now is just a weekly phone call. The calls are always initiated on our side. 2 months ago he stopped answering his calls and I just found out that his gf is 10 weeks pregnant.

He couldn't be bothered to take care of his own child and now his gf is trying to get my daughter all excited about being a "Big Sister" I don't want to impede on my daughter's relationship with her birth father but this makes me feel wierd. My husband has been a father to my daugher in every sense of the word.
Do you think I should keep my daughter away from them or should I just keep quiet and let her find the truth out when she is older? Any advice

I never show any differance between them, but I know in my mind that I am partiaol to my son. This is really bothering me. I can not have anymore children, and my hubby says that I feel this way b/c our son is younger. I do tend to "baby talk" with him. I just can not seem to let him grow up. Please help me understand how this has happened.

ok, so when i was 14 i went to a little party n i got to 2nd base w/ a grl i met that day then i got to 3rd. when my dad picked me up i told him everything that happened and he was like allllriiiight!!! that's my boy!!!!! and he said that my hecky was too big but whatever it felt good when i was receiving it.

when i was 11 i liked this girl and she liked me. we just went out with friends, held hands and thats all. but when she called the house and waited for me at my steps when i would hang out with the guys my mom would flip out.

if i would have told her the things that i have done with and to a girl my age she would probably be sicken and disapointted.
but dad isin't makin a fuss about it. as long as someone doesn't get stds or pregnant then he's cool about it.

My sister has always been unhappy that she had a daughter. She wanted a little boy so bad but was blessed with a beautiful little girl. Every since she was born she has dressed her in boy clothes and has kept her with boy hair cuts. Now today I found out that my sister has saved up enough money to have her 12 year old daughter have a sex change to turn her into a little boy. I am very upset about this. What shall I do? How can I stop my sister from turning her little girl into a boy? Advice please.

I salute all stay-at-home mothers for having the courage to raise their children and sacrificing their jobs hoping for nothing from their children in return. I have been helping my neurotic mother and abusive father take care of my nephew who is 2, and it is the hardest most annoying, unbearable thing I've faced apart from dealing with horrible family members, friends, neighbors and colleagues. How do you do it? I honestly want to know how you manage to keep your emotions in check and where do you get that unfound patience from whenever the baby cries for hours on end? Being a stay-at-home mom is indeed the most difficult job in the world.

My daughter decided at age 12 she wants to be a vegitarian. I have allowed it for a year, but she will not eat proper foods she needs. Shes pickey about some veggies, will not eat fish for protien, and only some fruits and nuts. She wants to live on soups and pastas.Plus she has azthma and takes alot of meds. I am worried about it. Do I allow her to make those decisions? Or do I force her to eat the meat when it grosses her out? I KNOW I AM THE PARENT....BUT WHAT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO? MOMS AND DADS PLEASE HELP.

Here's the situation... My brother and sister in law have one daughter.. she is 5.. ever since she was a baby and they were living at my parents' they have always left my mom to care for my niece... If they went out they never took her, they would leave for days and not take her.. they moved out and didn't take my niece with them... they would only take her when my mom would tell them to and even then sometimes they would make excuses as to why they couldn't... recently in 2006 there was an argument between my mother, my sister in law, and myself about my sister in law not caring for her daughter (not necessarily argument but more like confrontation)... well she decided she was taking her daughter home to "get back" at my mom (my mom cares very dearly for her grandchildren, she has two).. well this did not last for long, my niece was only with her parents for 2/3 months and has returned to my parents house. They even went as far as to remove her from the school she was at to one

I feel guilty not reporting.. but I don't want them to cause problems for me.. and besides.. the kids might go to foster care.. and that is terrible...

They scream every single day at their kids, sometimes for hours, and sometimes all day! They stomp around chasing their kids and yelling and sometimes swearing at them (even to the 4 year old). I know one time the mother was yelling at the boy and he was quiet and suddenly he started screaming in pain! I was like WTF? They have a teenage girl and a 4 year old boy. They slam doors and yell everyday. They rarely laugh together, but when they do, they end up fighting. They fight for hours everyday with their kids. But I don't think there is sexual abuse and i have never seen bruisess. I don't want to be that person that reports them.. and what if they do something terrbile in revenge to me (they will know it's me because I am trying to get them evicted). They live right over top of me...
