I am a plumber and have to deal with the mess outside of the bowl, on the floor, the seat, the walls. Also it is extreme bad taste to hear the waterfall in the bathroom when in someone's home, don't you?

C'mon doll, you have heard of urinals???? and do they have bowel move standing too? If they can sit for one, why not the other? Bad manners to splatter and not clean up, right?

Yes goz, I knew some mothers who were afraid of making real responsible men. That's why so many women get raped, beaten and abused.

well i was a single mother of twin boys and i potty trained them to stand to pee and sit when poo , i dont think all mothers get mad i think alot of it is well just a guy thing , w egrew up knowing men stand to go pee and sit to poo , so maybe we think its right for our boys to do the same , i personally can care less if they sit or stand as long as the go to the bathroom and not in there pants bed etc , yes its a mess to cleasn it up off the seat , walls etc but its part of life sometimes boys and men start going before they get a chance to aim it or they aim to hi or low for the toilet so there for they should learn to clean it up but a 3 yr old is in my opinoin not old enough to clean up his own urine so thats when the parents come in , keep a spray bottle with a diluted household cleaner even vinager and water and wet the area and whipe it up no order no smell etc , what us women hate is when men leave the toilet seat up we all know how that one ends up a wet bottom below is a saying on a toilet seat cover my mother had and men can read it well standing up

gentelmen please stand closer it may be shorter than you think

women please reamin seatted during the intire performance

if you sprinkle when you tinkle be a sweety adn whipe the seatty

dont throw butts in the toilet it makes them soggy and to hard to light

WE AS PARENTS NEED TO WORK TOGETHER TO TEACH OUR CHILDREN THE RIGHT WAY OF DOING THINGS AND IN ORDER TO DO THIS WE HAVE TO AGREE ON HOW WERE GONNA TEACH OUR HILDREN THINGS EVEN POTTY TRAINING IF ONE PARENT IS TEACHING THEM TO SIT AND THE OTHER TO STAND IT SENDS MIXED SIGNALS , ANOTHER THING WHEN THE CHILD GOES TO SCHOOL AND ALWAYS GOES TO THE STALLS TO GO TO THE BATHROOM INSTEAD OF THE URNAL THE KIDS MAY START CALLING HIM SIR POOP ALOT OR SOMETHING ,

in my opinon theres no wroung way on going to the bathroom as long as your going into the rest room and not going in the bathtub , sink etc and atempt to go in the toilet as your get older though there should be no excuss why u miss but if u do clean it up as i tell my kids now im your mother not your maid

As a single parent of 3, two of which are boys, I tell them if they can't get a better aim, then they can sit. I don't think there is anything wrong with a boy sitting on the toilet to do either of the deed. This does not make them gay! But it teaches them to be more conscience about their aim. Also, teaching a child proper bathroom techniques at home, will assure less embarrassment in pubic restrooms.

personally I think guys have an advantage by being able to stand up. You guys may not realize this but most girls are really nasty in public restrooms. They pee right on the seat and then leave it on there for the next person. It would be awesome to be able to stand and not even have to drop your pants. No more having to wipe some pig's pee off the toilet seat, or having to sanitize my butt with soapy wet toilet paper. Girls are real pigs...I'm telling you.

I can see your point about sitting in the privacy of the home. There's usually no one there to whom you have to prove your virility. But anywhere outside the home, standing is an advantage, by far.

It is the classic sign of masculinity for a man to stand and pee. I was so worried when my son mimicked his big sis and sat to pee. I felt that he was less manly. All went well though, he is now 4 and standing on his own. As for the noise of peeing in public, get over it, your a man, let it rip.

I'd be thrilled!!!! Now I don't have to clean other peoples urine off the outside of the toilet!!!! Its never too early to teach children responsibility for their actions or courteousness. In fact, more people need to do so nowadays, seems its something our society desperately needs.

I wouldn't get angry if dad tried to teach our boy to sit down.
But unfortunalty he taught him to stand up. My son has bad bathroom manners. He forgets to flush. never wipes the seat when he's done ect. I'd rather have him sit to go pee

I wouldn't. We taught all our boys to do their business sitting down. Why does it matter?

And that's nonsense about how they have to learn to stand to pee in the woods?! What kind of crap is that (pun intended)? You don't worry about girls doing it?

I'm a Mom of 2 boys, and whether they stand, or sit to pee really isn't even an issue...

Because that is where they learn how to control their hose. They can't learn that by sitting down. What happens when they use the bathroom outside, are they gonna squat to pee? You don't want anything crawling up their &%#.

How about if they are old enough to stand, then they are old enough to clean up after themselves?
