Our son will be one is 2 weeks and my husband does not know how to get close with him. He always says that our son does not like him. He said when he was growing up his father didn't show him much affection and now he don't know how to be affectionate to our son. Is there any tips how I can make them to become closer? I want my son to feel affection from his father.

Your husband can read him a story every night before bed. He can take him to the park. He should spend some time with him alone every day.

i think u should leave the house and go somewhere so that he has no choice but to be alone with him. start off by leaving him them alone for 30 minutes. give your husband a job to do like giving him a bath while u r gone, or reading him a book, or put ur son in a stroller and have ur husband take him out for a walk.

ur husband sounds like he needs some help so maybe u can sit with them and sing silly songs together just so ur husband can feel how great to show love and recieve the love from ur son really is.

i think first your husband has to convince himself that he will be a good father and that he will not do the same mistakes his father did because maybe this fear is the one making him not able to bond with his child encourage him to read him story to bath him to play outdoor with a ball boys love does things or just taking him out for a walk and he will see how soon they will be bonding with him.

He should play around a lot with him. Take him for walks, read him stories and watch cartoons together.
