I'm preparing myself to start it as my 7mo baby will not fall asleep on his own & i'm tired of going to bed with him for half an hour or so every time he needs a sleep. I also did this with my other 2 children & i'm over it big time. Please help me. I'm a single parent sowill have to do it on my own.

1 week before xmas I found £60 missing from my purse...It was def stolen in my home and could only have been one of my 5 children...I talked to them all and concluded that it could only have been the eldest two 15 and 17. the 15 year old had been caught stealing 1 year ago and had been gruonded for 1 month and promised me he had learnt his lesson. he was distraught when I accussed him and I dont feel like he was acting!!!the 17 year old just said it wasn't her and never mentioned it again. I have no prove so there is nothing I can do but I feel so betrayed I let it go because I didnt want to ruin xmas but I feel like I have let whoever done it away with it and want some answers. My gut is telling me it was my 17 year old she needed the money more she has a busy social life now and only gets £40 a week for her part ime job. But my son has stole before. Any advice. should I just let it go and be more careful with my money or try get the truth.

My 7mo baby boy is not able to go to sleep on his own as he is used to being breastfed to sleep. I also did the same with my other 2 children. However i am just not up to having to go to bed with my baby everytime he needs to go to sleep & its having a negative effect on me. I am a single mum & would like some opinions on this subject before i go ahead.

We want her to learn the 3 languages perfectly and know she can, but we haven't started teaching her English yet. My wife speaks Polish, I speak Spanish, and we communicate in English. If you have a similar situation, could you comment on it? I don't care what you think but what you know. I am interested in keeping in touch with whoever would like to share ideas, progress of his or her own child in similar situation, etc.

I've got money woes, an upcoming custody hearing and I don't get a lot of quality time with my son. Now I'm stressed and I find I'm being mean. How do you de-stress and re-energize in a tight spot?

I have two children ages 5 years and 9 months. Both of their birthdays are on March 24. My oldest has never had a "real" party. She was supposed to have one last year, but she got a brother instead. I would love to do something that would allow my oldest to feel special as well, but I know it will be hard since it will be my son's first birthday. Please consider the ages & gender differences. How common is it to have two kids with the same birthday anyway?

We have talked to her several times but to no avail. My wife said "if it was anyone but my mom, we just wouldnt let her be around our child." Now we have another on the way and I just don't think I can take it. The MIL thinks because she raised a child she doesnt have to do what we {esecially me the dad} says. I am at the point I don't even want her around. We got along ok until the child came. How do I get my life back and get the MIL to do what we ask?

Well, not hates...but doesn't much like.
We are a very young couple, he now is only 20. We don't plan on having kids for some years yet, but we are talking about it, and the question has come up whether I want to have them at all.
You see, he doesn't like children. At our reception, I tried to introduce him to my beautiful little "nephew" Christian, who's 1. He literally backed up and said, "Uh....okay. It's a kid." He refused to touch him like the baby was the plague!
However, he claims it's because he doesn't like kids who aren't his. But he doesn't have any, so to me this just says he doesn't like kids. I feel he wants children more as a trophy, or for the sake of having some perfect family, than he does because he wants to be a father. When I told him I didn't want to have children with him until he grew to like them and want to raise the, he gets super pissed.

Am I overreacting here? Do many guys act this way, but still be good fathers?

Ok. So I am 37 weeks, and had my app today. I am 1 cm dialated. which is not much, I have two questions.....

1. My dr. said because I have had two kids before, 1 cm is nothing. does this mean I have always been 1 cm dialated? or is it just that 1 cm is not alot. (i know it is not alot, but the way she said it made it sound like I have always been dialated to a 1.)

2. If I am dialated to a 1 deos that mean that the "mucus plug" is gone? I don't understand the whole Plug thing. I never saw a blood stain or anything..... ?

help thanks

At my daughters school, the students have to wear uniforms. (while or purple collared shirt and biege pants) While I believe in a dress code, I do not think that students should have to wear uniforms. I believe that it suppresses a childs creativity and freedom of choice. Young teens should be able to choose what they wear as long as its appropriate (hence dress codes) They are growing individuals and I find this a little degrading towards the Children.

I just want to know your views.

I was reading about RFID Chips on http://RFID-News.org/

It is very interesting technology but I am not sure about all the applications. How do you feel about children being implanted with RFID chips in order to monitor their whereabouts?

I would be interesting in hearing peoples thoughts on this subject. Thanks.

They scream and yell at their 2 kids. One is 4 and one is a teenager. I live below them and I hear them EVERY SINGLE DAY without a break... stomping their feet, sometimes chasing there little one around the house. When they scream, they use the f word and other words I can't use on here, and direct them at their children. Sometimes both parents stand in one spot, right near the kids and scream at them at once. Today the teenager was panicing becuase the 4 year old was choking her and she was screaming that she couldn't breathe. Then I heard her get away and yell, 'this is self defence this is self defence.' All the dad said was yelling 'youre in my way youre in my way'... I think he was watching t.v. I feel so bad for the kids. One time I heard the dad threaten the teenager 'the only way to solve this problem is that you can move back to our old town!' Good god, she is about 13! I feel so bad for the kids. Swearing, yelling screaming, usually for hours per day...
