I don't know what to do... what would you do if these were your neighbors kids?

They scream and yell at their 2 kids. One is 4 and one is a teenager. I live below them and I hear them EVERY SINGLE DAY without a break... stomping their feet, sometimes chasing there little one around the house. When they scream, they use the f word and other words I can't use on here, and direct them at their children. Sometimes both parents stand in one spot, right near the kids and scream at them at once. Today the teenager was panicing becuase the 4 year old was choking her and she was screaming that she couldn't breathe. Then I heard her get away and yell, 'this is self defence this is self defence.' All the dad said was yelling 'youre in my way youre in my way'... I think he was watching t.v. I feel so bad for the kids. One time I heard the dad threaten the teenager 'the only way to solve this problem is that you can move back to our old town!' Good god, she is about 13! I feel so bad for the kids. Swearing, yelling screaming, usually for hours per day...

i am pregnant, what if I report them and they leave something for my to trip down the stairs on... I don't know them, but these people are out of control when mad... the landlord can't do much because they have a lease and so do I

if you wouldn't want your child in this situation then you do something about it. It's called an annon. tip for a reason. It is your job as a human being to take some responsibility and help these kids

I felt like I was reading about myself! My husband and I have the same problem you're having. The people above us have a 4 year old son and it's the same exact scenario. The other day they were even throwing silverware!!! My suggestion to you is to first make a "complaint" to your apartment manager. Tell them what is going on, and they will most likely send a notice to the people above you, giving them a warning for disruptive noise pollution. If this does not work, I would take alternate measures and call the police----especially if you think these kids are being abused by their parents. If you feel they are in danger, you have every right to notify authorities of the situation.....it could save their lives. It's really hard to judge a family you don't know. Lots of kids scream and yell and are dramatic, you need to be there to know for sure. You could always try being honest and talking to your neighbors. Tell them your concerned because you always hear yelling and what to know if everything is alright. Maybe ofter to babysit the kids so the parents can get some time away from them and you can get a chance to see how the kids act. I'd first get to know the family a little better before you take it any father.

Call CAS (Children's Aid Society) and report them the next time you hear this going on. You can do it anonymously. You have an obligation to those children, even if they are not yours, to protect them from abuse. Hopefully they will remove the kids from that home until those parents learn some proper parenting skills. Then I would consider moving away from them. Oh, and in the meantime, make sure you watch your stairs so you don't trip.

Call the children's protective people when this yelling is going on and have them hear it on the phone. They would be there so fast that I bet you would not even be off the phone with them.

This family needs help and it does not sound as if anyone is willing to step in for those kids. Someone needs to!! I think you can do this anonymously. I am sure others in your complex can hear it too. So they would know it came from someone not you though if you play it cool.

Call DCF or whatever Child Protective Services is called in your state. Tell them that they can come stand in your living room and listen if they want to! That is HORRIBLE! Those children should be removed for at least emotional abuse!

As far as your lease is concerned, there are usually passages in all the legal mumbo jumbo that states that because you pay to live there, you are entitled to a certain amount of peace and quiet!

1 steal all the sugary things from their house..the KIDS ARE HYPER!!..l
2 do a reality check on their parents ...their parent show signs of lack of self discipline
3 sound proof your house...alternatively ear plugs may help
4 put on some relaxing music and RELAX...
if that doest work...do what being done to you back...lol
one a serious note...my worry is not them but you...you are pregnant and the both of you need to feel you are relaxed.....please try and not let these affect you because for sure the baby will be affected if you are....you need to relax and enjoy your pregnancy.

GET A TAPE RECORDER AND TAPE IT A FEW TIMES, HAVE IT DATED AND TIME. THEN I WOULD CALL CHILD SERVICES. IF YOU ARE THAT WORRIED FOR THOSE POOR CHILDREN CALL THEM. AND WHEN THEY GO TO TAKE THE CHILDREN CALL THE POLICE. THAT IS ABUSE. AND IF YOU DON'T DO IT THOSE CHILDREN COULD BE IN DANGER IF IT KEEPS UP. WHEN YOU DO CALL YOU DON'T HAVE TO GIVE THEM YOUR NAME, OR BETTER OFF MAIL THE TAPES TO CHILD WELFARE AND GIVE THEM THE NAME OF THE COUPLE AND THE ADDRESS . AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO PUT YOUR NAME ON THE PACKAGE IF YOU DON'T WANT ANYONE TO KNOW. I WISH YOU ALL THE LUCK. SAVE THOSE CHILDREN, .

Look up the number online for your local child abuse hotline.
Call them ASAP. You can remain anonomous. Just tell them
whats going on and let them take it from there.
It's definately emotional abuse of their children. Usually where there is that, there is some physical abuse too.
Do it for the children's sake.
