I've never heard of anyone being named after their parents ex. I'd never let my husband suggest the name of one his ex girlfriends. Hello???
I was named after my grandmother at my other grandmother's suggestion, and have always carried it with pride. I've never been ashamed of it, even though it's an 'old lady's' name, *Marjorie*.

My name came from both of my grandmothers and is unique. It is Maryanna, not maryanne. Lord if my momma heard someone call me marynna when she was alive she was very quick to correct that person. I never even used it all until about 6 years ago i just went by mary, but now I appreciate my name.

My mother gave me my name:Lisa, and she named me after a soap opera character from "As the World Turns" Very Deep. The meaning of my name IS deep, though, and it is a Jewish name which means "consecrated to God".

I have never heard of someone naming their child after their ex....unless the ex is that child's father.
My name is Sarah and it means Princess. My parents gave it to me because I was their first daughter. And because they like it, I'd assume.

I know a kid named after his mom's ex BF. It's a little messed up if you think about it. Both my parents picked my name. I am named after my dad, and a great great great grandma..
