Well things do happen, but her childhood is now over, because now she has to take care of a child/try to be a grown-up which she has not even mastered herself. If she is mature that is a thumbs up but that does not mean it's smooth sailing. As a parent it is hard. There is no manual that you can follow other than life's experiences. Which I have scores over your friend and some days I am in tears. So what would it be like for her. She has not even reached her teens. I hope she has a strong family support/at least I hope the b/f's family will contribute.
That sounds like a really shaky situation???????
Your friend is truly going to need your support!!!! Be there for her.

Yes, that is too young. That scares me b/c I have a 10 year old myself. With one of the other answers, how doesn't her parents know where she is. At 10 years old, I know where my daughter is all the time. I watch my kids when they go to check the mailbox or take out the trash. The parents & the b/f should get in trouble.

Yeah,.... This is really bad. The parents of your friend willmost likely be brought up on charges of Child neglect. The state I'm in you have to be 17 to have sex. A ten year old will have enourmus trouble actually carrying and having a healthy baby.The b/f parents will face the same charges. My prayers are with you all.

I think that your friend may be lying.
It is not likely that a 10 year old is having sex let alone getting pregnant.
She must be having her monthly cycle "period" in order to be able to get pregnant and last i remember most girls don't start until closer to 13 (however some do start early).
perhaps you could have her come to your place for a visit and talk about it with your mum. that way if she IS pregnant there is another adult who can help break the news to her family.

Are you sure she's really pregnant? Kids that age lie about thing like that for attention a lot.
It is illegal for anyone under 14 to have sex. Since her boyfriend is of consenting age (in my state anyway) he may be in serious trouble. The parents of the girl will most likely be in a lot of trouble with the law.

if ur telling the truth that pretty scary. when ur friend is 50 her daugther is 40 that is if they both survive seeing as the mothers childhood is over, and the kidll either get aborted or ll die of malnorishment best answer??
