My sister has always been unhappy that she had a daughter. She wanted a little boy so bad but was blessed with a beautiful little girl. Every since she was born she has dressed her in boy clothes and has kept her with boy hair cuts. Now today I found out that my sister has saved up enough money to have her 12 year old daughter have a sex change to turn her into a little boy. I am very upset about this. What shall I do? How can I stop my sister from turning her little girl into a boy? Advice please.

I do not believe any real doctor would perform a sex change on a little girl. The American Medical Association has pretty strict rules that physicians follow for gender surgery.
Find out the name of the doctor and then write up a one page brief of the situation and send it to all the newspapers/news stations in your area. The publicity should put a stop to the doctor.
Wow, your poor niece. Nothing like growing up feeling your a failure because of your sex. Your sister is destroying her child and someday her child will HATE her.

I would probably get the akwardness of the situation over with by talking to her about it. I mean whats the big deal really? If my daughter heard me and her pop fornicating and she was embarressed or weirded out I would ask her how she thinks she was brought into the world. You are also an adult and if your daughter has a problem she should talk to you not let it go around the grapevine making it out to be more than it is. As a precaution try not to be so loud when you are jumping around in the sack. ;)

I don't know if you are from the US, but , here it is a long process to have a sex change. I can't imagine a doctor anywhere in the world that would do that to a 12 year old, at least not merely on a mother's request. Your sister sounds like she has mental problems. Your niece needs help living with someone like that. She is going to feel so inadequate her whole life because of this. Please get her the help she needs. You'll need to be there for your niece, just like you're doing right now. She'll need at least one stable female influence in her life and you're it. Good luck.

well if in the US, just go to the city hall and ask about child abuse. If in another country just go to the police and ask around. I do not think there are many big countries that would permit this as the doctor has certain requirements. All I can say, is you got a SICK sister. Besides, the op is a joke I think. Never heard of penis transplants. lol

No one will perform a sex change on a 12yr old period. It sounds as though she is being abused being forced to dress as a boy call Social Services your sisters whacked and has no business being a mom.

Tell her that she can easily trade in her girl and get a boy. In most markets, girls are in higher demand than boys, so she will not only save the cost of the operation, she can make money.

No doctor will do this kind of surgery on a 12 year old, even if the child herself was saying she wanted it. Gender reassignment is only done on adults and, even then, only after extensive psychological testing.

Thats .... is that even legal?! Find out who that doc is and ill give him/her a sex change....
but find out if she can do that. doesnt the child have a say? I think its a form of child abuse, she shouldn't even have children.
