I had the same problem, we took him to the doctor to make sure he was okay - the doctor said not to push him. He knows when he needs to go, and what to do, he just won't. Instead of hounding him, etc - just remind him occasionally and when he DOES do it make a HUGE deal out if it. When he is ready he'll get it.
And he was right! We did that for six months and by the time he was 3 1/2, he just started using the potty on his own.
OH - and in North America, the average age for boys to potty train is 3-4 years old so he isn't really that abnormal.

Boys train slower than girls...its true. I have 2 sons and one girl and she definitly got it first! lol But they were trained by around 3 1/2.
What I used was a treat jar. I had a jar with a lid that had little candies like smarties, jellybeans...just something small, and everytime they went, they got to take one. You could use the same idea with stickers or whatever may interest your child in the potty more.
I found it was great motivation for them!

My mother used to babysit a 4 year old who wasnt potty trained either and he was so lazy and wouldnt use the potty. My best advice and it worked for my kids is to let them wear big kid underwear and tell them to use the potty. If they make a mess get them to help you clean it up. Eventually they will realise it not fun cleaning there own mess up so they will get the hint. Good luck!

Stop worring about it...there will come a point in the child's life, most likely in J.K. (4 years old), when they have to socialize with children their own age outside the home. Children long to fit in.....your nephew will not continue this behaviour among peers....sadly, because the first time he does, he'll be humiliated by the other children...

observed isn't unavoidably a horror, this is a secret. And unquestionably, confident she will. regardless of if she is scared afterwards she is conscious of it is not actual, the action picture itself is unquestionably incredibly tame whilst in comparison with maximum horrors inspite of idiots asserting its the scariest action picture ever. yet asserting all of that, the action picture isn't very good. this is frequently incredibly uninteresting and not something incredibly 'frightening' happens till the terrific 20 minutes. And whilst it does ensue, this is unquestionably incredibly disappointing. even nonetheless, human beings under 14 frequently like that action picture so i could say supply it a shot. There are lots greater effectual horror's obtainable yet you could coach it to her and he or she would be advantageous, assured.
