This is bordering on abuse, but Yes. Use the softer bb's that way it still stings, but will probably not break the skin.

Noooo if he starts shooting somehting and you dont want him to you take that gun and you put it up where he cannot get it and ground him from it until he learns that guns are not for shooting things that are important, does he have targets to shoot at? but no i would never ever shoot my son with a bb gun just because you never know where that bb will go and for the simple fact if you shoot him back you are just enabling him to do it more....you need to talk to your child about guns and if he dont understand the rules yank it away as fast as you got it for him

No I think thats child abuse. I understand why you would think that it may work to get your point across but 2 wrongs dont make a right. Take the bb gun away and explain to your son why you are doing so. The best way to teach children right from wrong is to talk to them and explain why. Please dont shoot your son you will go to jail!

Definitely "No." If you're worried about your son shooting live animals or something, and he does anyways, discipline your child some other way. Now, act out of your own conscience regarding physical discipline (which personally I am against), but definitely don't shoot your child with a bb gun! :)

This cannot end...badly.

If you are going to attack, make sure you're prepared. It would be a good idea to employ someone, maybe a neighborhood kid, to be your ammo boy. He'll run around with a box of BBs. Now, as for your strategy, it depends on what your son has. A pellet gun, you're going to want to watch yourself, those things sting like the dickens. If it's like a paintball gun, you'll be better off. An ambush is always the best strategy. Attack him when he doesn't suspect it, and you are sure to win.

ok for 1. you should never let your son have a gun in the first place and now he will think you approve this kind of violence and this could turn him into a violent teenager or adult. 2. you shouldnt keep guns around your child keep them hidden and unloaded and locked up. 3. how can you think of shooting your child unless he shoots something? what kind of parent are you giving your child a gun?.

why did he get a bb gun in the first place! just take it away from him... shooting him won't teach him anything, just "an eye for an eye" !?!?
cause that's exactly what people and the world needs... more violence...
you are the parent/gaurdian, you should be teaching him right from wrong with words

No. He could get blood poisoning. He could lose an eye or a limb. How could anyone think to do this? Get the BB gun and throw it away.

Absolutely not. That is not setting a good example for him. You need to take the bb gun away from him. He is too young to have it anyway

it's a great idea! if you want to lose your son to State Custody!!!

be the parent and take the gun away. It's obvious he's not ready for it.

Personally, I never, ever gave my son a toy gun to play with. and I didn't let anyone else do it either.

there's trucks and cars, and toys he can ride on, and puzzles he can learn from, and all kids of other things for him to do and learn from while he's doing it.
